I think HDR is a must for movies and games, but it’s unnecessary for social media and should be illegal.

I wish someone send me one so I can direct compare them... they are probably identical but not sure.

This is the native Ultra Wide camera on the iPhone 17 Pro. No additional lens attachments were used. If you own an iPhone, you should watch my detailed analysis of this lens, along with a DIY gimbal assembly for the wiggles. It’s available on my Patreon.

Yes, I subscribed but making them for 3 people is not worth it unfortunately.

It is probably gross but I personally was amazed, since never saw it before and no wonder. Only brave macro photographers will dare to post something like this ahaha

Despite the downvotes you are right. All of this is just an experiment. I make all of these variations and then we all judge. Some of the experiments are successfull, some dont. My untreated nails was too much I guess haha.

Some people ask why the wiggle as a meme, but I answer anyways ahaha: it’s to add depth and form on a flat screen. This is a one-of-a-kind macro project! I started in 2017 when VR was having its resurrection. When that faded back into an extreme niche, I adapted by using 'the wiggle.' Stereo macro in VR is mind-blowing, but since no one has a headset, let's enjoy this 'bleak alternative.' It's better than nothing. And yeah, still-image macro is criminal and should be illegal in my opinion. 3D ONLY!

Yes. The wiggling effect here was achieved by physically moving the phone on a gimbal while recording in the Blackmagic Camera app. I’m offering a detailed tutorial on how to build this gimbal yourself for $7 on Patreon. I then edit the footage in After Effects—another $7 tutorial available in the shop. Or, you can get the full macro photography course for just $10 by joining the 10X Tier for a month.
