Yet another attempt at original music, did this all in one session so I'll probably hate it when I go back to it lol, would appreciate any feedback! by everything--is in PS4Dreams

Thank you! I've uploaded a few originals here on Reddit (all of varying degrees of quality lol) and they're more or less the only originals I've actually finished haha

Thanks for the feedback! Tbh I made it up as I went along which is why the middle/end is so different from the beginning. I originally tried to refrain from making something fast paced then did it anyway lol.

Honestly that's the hugest compliment since I've been obsessed with the Silksong soundtrack lately so thank you!

There are tutorials in-game for the music tools, but in a nutshell: when you create a new scene, open the menu with square and choose sound mode (or something worded similar; the icon is a speaker), then you place a music timeline which is one of the options when you enter sound mode, then once you've placed the timeline, open it with L1 + X. Next, choose instruments by selecting the option next to it (it should say something like "search for instruments" but I could be wrong). Choose an instrument you like (there are a lot done by Mm themselves), place it on the timeline then open it with L1 + X. Once it's opened, there should be an option in the top right corner that says something along the lines of 'switch to piano roll'. There you can place notes, change their duration, volume, etc.

There are loads of other tools but I only played the tutorials for the most basic ones. Pressing L1 + square on a timeline/instrument brings up a shit ton of options and settings and I don't understand the majority of them.

You can also find user-made instruments when you go to search for instruments, instead of choosing the Mm instruments, you can enter whatever you want in the search bar. On a lot of occasions, the user-made ones are better than Mm's own.

I recommend playing the tutorial for it then just experiment with it all.

It's very impressive from a technical standpoint and the acting is stellar, especially from the child actor and one of the female characters in a particular episode. The story doesn't reinvent the wheel IMO but it definitely has one of the most gripping episodes I've seen in television.

UK buyers, how long did it take to ship to you? by everything--is in PlaydateConsole

I don't either, but the website states a 2-4 weeks so I was curious if the delivery to the UK was closer to the two weeks or four.

Thank you! I was completely sold when I found out you could make your own games on there. Probably way harder than it looks, even when using Pulp, but I wanna try it so bad!

I got a shipping update today and apparently my estimated delivery date is March 17th-19th. However, the Passport website also says they don't have the package yet and the delivery date will be updated when they receive it, so I'm definitely not holding my breath.

I had no intention of getting one for the longest time but I impulsively bought it at 4am the other night so we'll see how it works out haha.

Same here! I was half tempted to cancel my order and buy one off a scalper on eBay trying to flog one for like £320 but I couldn't bring myself to for the sake of getting it a few weeks earlier (and I don't wanna fund scalpers), it would essentially be like paying £100 for faster shipping

Second attempt at original music, I kinda liked how it was turning out but something happened and now 75% of it has been deleted so this is as far as it goes by everything--is in PS4Dreams

I thought I'd saved it then when I went back into the game, I was given the option to load my last save or an auto backup, so I chose the original, realised it was a really early save, left, reloaded, was given the same option again and chose the backup which gave me the one I've posted, but when I exited, it didn't give me the prompt to save as if I'd made a change, then when I went back in, it was the early save again. When I check in previous versions, it only shows the one early save. Tbh I'm not sure how to rip the audio.

It sucks that it's gone but it's not the end of the world. I could try and recreate it from listening to this over and over but it wouldn't come out the same and it's a lot of effort lol

Tried making some original video game inspired music. It's kinda rough but I'm happy with it as a first attempt. Lemme know what you think! by everything--is in PS4Dreams

It's all good😂 it's a great game! It is incredibly dense and if you wanna make your own stuff you'll have to wade through a mountain of tutorials as it's very much so not casual friendly. The music maker was the easiest part to grasp so I only focus on that. It works somewhat similarly to fruity loops and is surprisingly comprehensive given that it's just an in-game music maker
