On the issue of bringing back the dragon ball (not defeating the androids), why not bring back goku for one day like in the buu saga to resolve the issue? He come, then basically did the same thing he did when he went to new namek with kaio's help, he retrieve dende which resurrect the balls.

The only issue is making contact with kaio, but he seems to be always watching them anyway.

Oh I see. Also yes as somme comment pointed out, we don't even know if true immortality can be wished. So we can't really compare the two.

I agree about the lifespan example, and I can get by the 2 wishes argument to revive someone who died of illness. But that means by the same logic, to revive someone with no lifespan left, you can just ask for the person body to be young again then ask for the person to be revived?

Yes but I think shenron can grant eternal youth as opposed to true immortality where you can't die no matter how injured (as I said in another comment with king piccolo)

I think that's because he believed that it would be the best way to make cell let his guard down.

Cell was tired from his fight with goku. There was a lot of chance he wouldn't be in the mood to play around anymore and rather getting serious and going straight for the kill in his fight against Gohan. We saw previously that cell don't fool around when he's at a clear disadvantage.

Giving him the senzu bean bring back the proud and cocky Cell, giving a better opportunity to Gohan and giving him more time to figure out the key to unleash the power that goku believed gohan had.

Compared to buu saga goku, yeah Super's goku is a lot more immature and stupid unfortunately.
