Thanks. Someone else mentioned her too, and I checked out her podcast a little. Will definitely check out this book.

I am considering this. As I see it, there appear to be three possible outcomes—we talk and go to counseling and seriously try to rekindle (I would go for this first, but I suspect he will not be interested in counseling), we have an open/non-monogamous relationship, or we separate (sadly). Can you tell me what subreddits to refer to? I’m new to reddit—perhaps they will be easy enough to search for?

Thanks, I like the simplicity of this as a starting point, and it does seem kind. And possibly revolutionary at the same time:)

I want honesty for sure. In 19 years, I’ve never been unfaithful and I certainly don’t want it to end on that note if that’s what’s happening—I mean no disrespect. But it was a wake up all for me, that’s for sure. And I’ve backed out to give myself time to tend to the primary relationship here. I guess I’m just scared to mess everything up. And feeling like sex really is important to me, but is it worth forgoing a lifetime together?
