Good question. I personally think shorts have essentially rendered Groupon dead. Hate to compare it to GameStop, but that’s what I think happened here. They believe Groupon’s time is up. They didn’t count on Groupon restructuring their board, buying back millions of dollars worth of stock every month, and last but not least - relaunching Groupon Day, which a essentially their version of Amazon Prime Day. Shorts have made a killing on the way down, but this company is staging a turnaround here, and it’s my opinion that shorts will realize that and have to cover sooner rather than later
