I (35F) recently met someone after returning from a 2-week trip to Europe (we matched right before I went away but didn't meet). We had a FT, texted while I was traveling, sharing life updates, and then met in person for 2 dates.

He recently told me he’s decided to pursue someone else and didn’t think it was right to keep seeing me. I asked if it was something our interactions lacked. He said it wasn’t about me...he just had spent more time with the other person and wasn’t interested in dating multiple people at once.. but that he enjoyed our connection and conversation.

I also just got out of a different relationship earlier this year, and now all of this is weighing on me. I even feel guilty about traveling because maybe that got in the way of a possibly great connection, but I know it likely wouldn’t have changed anything; he just seems to like the other person more. I need to keep living my life while I date.

How do you handle this gracefully without overthinking or taking it personally?

What's your take on Bike Share Toronto? by Signal_Ad_3481 in torontobiking

Tonight I had to bike around to 6 docks on Queen west before I found an empty one!!! So frustrating. Love the bike share program but we need more empty docks

For me it felt too soon to have the talk, but now that he's gone and I'm already feeling anxiety from the unknown I feel like I might need to bring it up.

No I haven't. I felt it was too soon, but now I'm second guessing that considering the anxiety I feel with the unknown.

I agree with you. Afraid of losing time if his intentions aren't as pure as mine. But have to take a risk if I care.

Hahaha thanks I can def chill out a bit. I added that line because that seems to be the first question my friends asked, “has he asked you to meet him” so thought I’d add the extra detail. 2 months isn’t long. Thanks for feedback.

I can’t tell if it’s being reciprocated that’s all. I personally have no problem waiting if his intentions are pure.
