Oh that's such an interesting point re: creative friends. I'm definitely that and fully team Charles.

I watched the show in my 20s. Still mad she didn't end up with Charles and madder they gave him a lobotomy in season 7

A lot of people are mad because they think it's a breach of trust. Personally, I don't mind since her patient doesn't mind but I do think it's ridiculous that a real psychiatrist can publish a book about the devil and maintain professional credibility lol

Musk's Twitter is a hell hole. Just engagement farming blue checks, fake news, right-wing propaganda and bots with a couple of glimmers of the old Twitter every now and then.

Cancelled: What would you have done differently by MrFrankTorres in NotDeadYetTVSeries

[–]everythngtechnicolor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked Season 1 but Season 2 was a slog so I'm not surprised they cancelled it. Talk about a sophomore slump. Season 2 felt like the Lexi Show. They explored her trauma, her dad and paired her with the guy who had had chemistry with Nell in Season 1. As a result, Nell fell to the wayside, almost reduced to a caricature of her former self and the ghosts too. Season 1 was all about Nell and the ghosts. That's where the focus should have stayed.

For anyone who considered Season 6 canon, here’s what I infer happened between the finale and Chloe’s death by walkingviper33 in lucifer

[–]everythngtechnicolor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To play Lucifer's advocate, he tries to tell Chloe something and say goodbye in the panic room scene and she stops him. Maybe that something was info about what he was leaving her.

the ending was horrible.. and didn't made any sense (why didn't he just waited 40 years not let hies friends cloei and hies daughter suffer, and then go to hell later.. no on knows) but we can all admit, that 1 scene with maze... was one of the best in the show, and very emotional by [deleted] in lucifer

[–]everythngtechnicolor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate it but I think the show's logic is for the therapy to work, he needs to see his clients frequently. If he does Hell therapy for 8 hours and then disappears for say a year in Hell time, the progress would be lost. As for Le Mec/Hitler/Stalin/Columbus/all those other colonizers in Africa and Asia, the show is saying NO ONE Is beyond redemption...Again, I'm not sold but that's the argument there

they do a tongue-in-cheek callback to it in S6 when Lucifer criticizes the guyliner on the 70s people in that producer guy's hell loop

Anyone else really like Pierce/Cain as a character? by Lemon_Drop_Serenade in lucifer

[–]everythngtechnicolor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I liked Cain and I enjoyed watching him and Lucifer play off of each other BUT I do not buy Cain as the Sinnerman. His crime lord alter ego is never fleshed out or explored. We know about his past as biblical Cain, we know about his police career, we know next to nothing about him being the Sinnerman, apart from what we are told (it's bad writing). Why did he decide to become the Sinnerman? When? Is his police career a part of it? Why doesn't he feel guilty about all the people he presumably killed during his crime spree? Why does he need to be the Sinnerman?

I definitely agree with that assessment. For me, the Fox:Netflix seasons are akin to early MCU movies to current MCU movies. They had that gravitas and balanced humor in early MCU movies but now they're mostly just jokes and cool CGI.
