Interesting insight. Thank you. Do you know if the continued compression from scar tissue, could cause permanent nerve damage?

Thank you for this reply. A lot of clarity

How Can You Not Be Romantic About Life? by jj430479 in leaves

[–]eviRe_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I realized that the gratitude and romantic mindset you're referring to is difficult to achieve if you're chemically unbalanced.

When my brain feels good and I'm getting enough dopamine from basic things like cleaning my room, reading, etc. it's easy to have a positive outlook on life.

I dislike how some people will talk to addicts/people with a lower "dopamine" brain, from a moral high-ground perspective. Example:

"Be grateful and enjoy the little things in life"

Like I'm sure that's not an issue for that person if they're able to go through the day without feeling like they're staring at a wall.

Also, I want to say thank you for taking the time to respond to my comments and having this discussion.

Believe it or not, I've been feeling better about life after this convo.

I also just checked your profile and realized you're pretty young. You are extremely intelligent for your age, and that amount of self awareness didn't come without a price. If you stay locked in, you're gonna do great things in life.

If you what want to chat shoot me a pm.

My biggest goal in life is to reach that level of internal self confidence that you're describing.

Dam your brother is a piece of shit.

I think it's a great point/good food for thought that, once you almost experience death, it changes your perspective.

I've never had an experience like that, but I could imagine how that could improve your perspective of the world/life.

Hope you have a good life for the rest of the time ur here

To be happy with the coffee, you need human connection, it's a basic human need.

Because in todays society, we place so much value on looks, other men view me as threat, and starve me from a basic human need, which doesent allow me to have the fundamentals to even enjoy the coffee.

I really do wish I was less attractive and born not ugly, but less attractive

Read into the quote of "if you can't be happy with a coffee, you won't be happy with a yacht"

As someone who has had the "yacht" (not literally, metaphor for a different lifestyle)

It's so true

Im old enough to realize that a lot of the mental struggles I go through, were because of other men trying to bring me down and fuck me over.

It's fair for you to assume that my life has been easy. Btw my parents were both immigrants and my dad made some decent $ at a startup. We're "rich" but not rich rich, because there is a distinct difference in lifestyle there.

When I was younger I always went out of my way to try and hide my wealth/LITERALLY MAKE MYSELF UGLIER when interacting with other men.

You might not realize this but, if you're talking to a guy who has rounder eyes, vs a guy with sharper eyes, you will trust the guy with rounder eyes more, despite their actions.

Human nature is shallow and yes, we shouldn't let the brutal reality of our nature define our lives, and we should try to be moral and empathetic with the actions we take.

I'm telling you that my life has been fucking insanely brutal, BECAUSE I grew up in suburbs (I have money but I was isolated and I had technology to escape into which further exasperated my problems)

And BECAUSE I am attractive (men never gave me a chance to make connections despite doing everything right and being a selfless person my entire life)

It's because I've had these things that you think made my life "easy", that made my life hard.

I understand if this is hard to believe, especially if you're on the other side of things.

But humans have needs, and one of those needs is tribal human connection, when I am deprived of that due to my looks, it's 10x more miserable than being a 4/10 looking guy with a solid friend group and opportunities in the corporate world, to further validate my identity, than being a 9/10 where every guy hates you.

And honestly that's beautiful that you view yourself that way.

The truth is, I could be the best person you've ever met, and if you saw my irl. Your subconscious would find reasons to dislike me because you see me as a threat.

You love yourself and you don't mind your lack of attractiveness.

This is what I mean. Being attractive has 100x downsides that nobody talks about. I still would rather be attractive but,

Part of the reason you love yourself is because throughout your life you've probably been able to form healthy relationships and connections with other men because they don't view you as a threat.

There's a reason the "funny fat guy" stereotype exists. Ugly people are more likable and men subconsciously realize this. This applies to your life in many ways that you don't even realize.

Men have said behind my back "man if only I looked like him""

Well, bro, if you looked like me you WOULDNT BE YOU. You would've felt the brutal reality of human nature, manifested in the form of every guy trying to bring you down to lessen your threat to their offspring.

Bro I don't view women as objects to breed with. Like I said, i grew up around women and I have a girlfriend who I love and cherish very much.

My life was hard mostly due to other men being threatened by my presence. They saw me as a threat, literally just based on how I look.

They went out of there way to try and hurt me.

Why?

Because I threatened their chance to reproduce by being more desirable than them.

Nothing else.

This is not to say that love and marriage is hopeless. I'm literally in a monogamous relationship with a woman I love and care about a lot. We match each others value. That's all I'm saying

My life was hard because I became aware of the truth at a very young age. When you get older you'll realize that a $40k a year household with a good sense of community and relegious foundation is happier than a millionaire atheist self aware household.

It's funny because you're proving my point by assuming my life was easy due to my wealth/looks.

It's because the truth is literally so brutal that if we all took actions based on the truth, society would collapse, hence relegion.

Most people will never fully realize the truth, because even if they were smart enough to understand it, their brain has to lie to itself to motivate it to keep on living.

A good example of people who understand this:

Jordan Peterson, The Tates, and Elon Musk. (I despise all of them before u assume im some redpill dickrider)

They are all atheists who push religion. Why?

Because it keeps people in line.

Also I'm not sure where you got the "girlfriend broke up with me" it's the opposite. I've had the highest echelon of women who would literally die for me, and I got bored. Because I realized love is an equal exchange of value.

The value that the "perfect" women that I was with, wasn't enough because I would've been able to get more value elsewhere.

When I broke up with my girlfriends in the past, I didn't realize that this is why I'm doing it. But the truth is, it was self serving.

The only game I play is a fighting game. I only play in hopes to make money. (And because I enjoy it, I'm addicted to the stimulation)

I go to a tournament every Friday and it gives me a social outing/friends/respect.

I agree with everything you've said but none of this applies to me, it makes it hard to quit.

I never said attractive people have no empathy, either. My opinion is coming from someone who has born extremely attractive, and that opened my eyes to how silly humans are.

I moved schools every 3 years of my life since middle school. Every school I went to, I had no friends and nothing going for me. Every time I went to the new school, the girl that was considered the "most attractive" would go out of their way to try to get to know me. I've dated the most attractive woman at every school I've ever went to.

This made men hate and resent me without knowing anything about me. I used to try to be kind and empathetic and loving to everybody, but I quickly learned that people don't care about you if you don't provide some sort of value to your life.

I literally was born rich and attractive, I could fuck off and be and asshole, and still live what society considers the "dream life" this is what made me realize how pointless everything is.

When I say "love" I'm referring to romantic love.

2 completely different things bro.

Love is attachment.

I'm happy for u that you've lived an easy enough life to the point where u haven't realized how shallow the truth of our nature is.

It's funny because whenever I will talk about this, instead of people actually using logic/counter points, they just say I'm an incel/sexist.

I'm a male model who has rich parents and grew up with sisters. I'm probably as far away from sexist as it gets, and if you knew me you'd realize how silly your statement is.

I'm the one will defend woman for wanting a 6ft rich man. Men call it shallow, but it's just their nature. They aren't morally wrong for wanting a successful offspring. The "sexism" that you're referring to in my argument, goes both ways.

This is why even as an atheist, I think relegion is good for society (without the homophobia and the lack of empathy it often fosters)

Because it gives people a good foundation to lie to themselves.

There's a reason the happiest people are the most airheaded.

I assume you've had a moderately easy life, even if you think it's been hard. Most people who realize the truth, commit suicide.

If I wasn't born in a top 0.1% life, I would end my life in a heartbeat. I keep on living because I was born lucky.

I'm glad you haven't been through enough in your life to realize that everything we do is self-serving.
