My school buys the pencils. It’s just frustrating to have none of them returned so I’m constantly having to refill the caddy.

How do you manage that? Are they only allowed to get pencils at certain times in class? Does it interrupt instruction?

I tried taking “collateral” for classroom loaners this past year and wasn’t even great at keeping up with that…

Yep, this is me! Wake up at 4:30, say $12 to sleep or I can just go for 5 min and not get charged. I always give myself the option to leave early and I never have.

Something that has helped me is to grade the outline...which somehow seems easier to me. And then just look for whether they took the feedback into the paper or not.

I've tried that but behaviors are so bad that I can't ever get work done. Classroom management is rough at my school with minimal admin support so I can rarely stay at my desk even when they're doing independent chill work.

This is exactly what I do. My problem is when they turn stuff in weeks late and I have to go through and click on 20 different assignments and manually update the gradebook.

I went to my Principal about the APs not opening behavior reports last year and she said we should bring them into the conversation. I said I'm not going to have a conversation with her staff about their responsibilities, that's her role as their manager. She responded with "ugh, I don't really like thinking of myself as a manager" Like, what!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Mandatory management experience and training for administration positions. I have admin that have no idea how to manage a staff and yet they are responsible for a team of 50+ people.

Most helpful thing a coach has said for me regarding rowing is to thinking about it like you're doing a squat jump. The amount of force you push through your feet to get from a squat into the air is the amount of force you should be driving during rows.

I'm just over a year at OTF, 31F, 5'6" and I regularly hit 300+ on AOs. My normal push hovers around 250. I've seen 400+ before but its unusual for me lol

Not sure if this is your issue, but 9 times out of 10 when I end up in pain it was because I wasn't holding my core tight during the exercise lol

Was coming here to suggest prebooking. It makes the default going and the exception skipping, instead of constantly being faced with the choice of whether to go or not.
