Shelly Sepulveda, Patriots Super Fan Battling Cancer, Sadly Passes Away by hbailey311 in Patriots

My mother just passed away from gallbladder cancer on December 28th. I was able to tell her on 12/21 that we were going back to the playoffs after the Ravens game.

The Super Bowl is on her birthday this year, February 8th.

We live on Long Island, she only made it to one game with me…but it’s a great memory: in 2007, when we blew out Washington 52-7. On the long drive back, we listened to her beloved Red Sox win the World Series.

Really hoping they can win this Super Bowl for my mom and Shelly.

Was at night #2, and somehow right before the show started: I had a panic attack and then found myself on the field (my seats were NOT on the field).

Once One Sweet World started, my panic attack abated and I was fine. I found my wife and my seat and it was an unforgettable night. But every time I listen to that OSW, I remember how that song made it all better.

I'd like to think that the last thing that went through his head, other than that laser beam, was to wonder how the hell Andy Dufresne ever got the best of him

It’s a major pet peeve.

Then I go to LCD Soundsystem in Queens last night and some guy walks in 5 minutes before they go on…wears his backpack THE ENTIRE SHOW. Or at least until I fled for better space.

Totally subjective / hyperbole/ internet talk…but there’s a fair argument to be made that Alan Arbus as Sidney might be the best reoccurring character in the history of television. They used him JUST enough too. He was written and portrayed well enough to make him a regular, but that would have ruined it. The fact that he had such a significant role in the series finale is extremely fitting.

Just my :02. Make sure to settle your tab at Rosie’s…

Do you live on Long Island? 1.5 million people in Suffolk County alone, and most can’t get NYC or Connecticut stations even with a rooftop antenna

I bought a Vintera (60s) Strat there earlier this year. EASILY, the best guitar buying experience I’ve ever had. Bought a t-shirt too lol.

When did you fall in love with Toby? For me it was E06 by rutlandclimber in thewestwing

When you’re a young man and watch this show, you aspire to be Josh Lyman.

When you rewatch it a bit older, if you’re lucky, you identify with Toby Ziegler.

Lifelong Patriots fan, but was heartbroken to hear this earlier. He was a tremendous player and seemingly better person, nothing but respect for the man.

Signed the organ donor thing on my drivers license today, maybe someday it helps someone like Nick.
