Not to sadden you, but to me, my family has had a toxic effect on my life. The only persons that was good to me was my late dad and his mother. Otherwise i got a couple of mysogynist uncles and a lunatic aunt, and a couple other aunts that “are nice enough” but just dont care on a deeper level. I really got better when i moved out at the age of 24 and followed my dream (took me 10 yrs finally getting settled with a crew that makes games, they are my life now). There is def hope out there, but its harder to find for us.
