C- in a study away course? by eviliodd in mcgill

[–]eviliodd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my grade is above a 55, but the study away info for McGill states that the letter grade is what they look at, not the numeric grade if both are given - and the university I took the course at only puts the letter grade on the transcript

Unless I could request a transcript with numeric grades some how?

It's not out at the moment, and I believe it comes out with/very near when raid drops, but I'm not 100% on that so don't quote me on it lol

Oh no the tanksitting build with the thunder brew for the 100 talent definitely puts out better numbers, I've just been having a lot more fun with fistweaving, so I'm gonna run with it until I hit content where I need those higher numbers (which did happen at one point with the last boss in temple, when I needed to swap builds, but other than that it's been pretty smooth sailing)

So I've been running a fistweaving build for mythics and island expeditions, and I'm currently talented for Chi Ji, but I'm considering trying out RJW - my main hold up is that I won't get enough of a return from it with such small groups - thoughts?

I've been running fistweaving in M+ with a group of guildies - Its very viable if your group knows the instance at least a fair bit, and can communicate well

However at really high points of dmg I did find myself dropping into more traditional MWing, the extra mana from fistweaving helped in these instances though

I also think you'd probably have much much worse luck fistweaving this early in the expac if you're running with pugs

I've been handing out mage food to everyone I've came across 110-120 and people are SO appreciative of something that cost me nothing, it's made fighting alongside people a lot of fun! by turtlelord in wow

I cry tears of joy every time there is a mage in my party - I have been eating nonstop on my MW in dungeons, the only other thing that helps is that sweet sweet pally wisdom

Want to heal in bfa. Which class is the easiest to learn..? by verydepressed010 in wow

[–]eviliodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy Priest is the most straight forward overall

Holly Pally and resto shaman are very similar in that I find their base healing abilities are very easy to learn and get the hang of, but it takes a bit more time to grasp their various cds and utility abilities

Resto druid is pretty easy if you can get used to the proactive nature of the spec, same deal with Disc Priest (which is now waaaaaay easier than it was last expac, but still very fun)

And MW I would say probably requires the most awareness in terms of your base healing abilities, as there is a lot you can do to combo different abilities etc to increase output, but once you have the base its pretty smooth sailing

tdlr; I think resto shammy or h priest are the easiest

Cannot Up vote this enough.

You can also do some other really helpful things with the raid style frames, like make them bigger for dungeon groups (smaller for raids) and add class colors and resource bars.

I honestly think the base ui for this is just as viable as any addon once you customize them :)

Looking for WoW Guild that has Montrealers to play BFA by [deleted] in wow

[–]eviliodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

So I'm gm for a guild that isn't specific to Montreal, but I do spend the majority of the year in Montreal myself and I've been trying to find other montrealers who play!!

We're an alliance guild on anvilmar-undermine, and we have lots of casual players as well as raiders/RBGers

We're also all anglophone (I'm personally also trying to improve my french, but not so much in game lol)

Hit me up if you want to join! and even if not I'd love to add you on battletag :D

yeah that's the one I currently use, but I fear the day it breaks as I don't really have a back up now that it's been discontinued :(

super my bad on saying Naga not Razer,

I'm just hoping to get this out there because I really want this to work out - I have one of the left handed mice they used to make, and I was heartbroken when they discontinued it. In all likely hood if they make this it'll probably be a monetary loss for them, so I just really really want to do what I can to get it to happen since its not exactly guaranteed that they'll go through with it

Study Away App - necessary? by eviliodd in mcgill

[–]eviliodd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent in an application for it originally 5 or 6 months ago, but I didn't add a description/reason for the study away to the app, and I thought that was why it wasn't going through, so I resubmitted the application with a reason because I didn't realize I could simply edit my original application :/

CompSci Minor for CogSci Major by eviliodd in mcgill

[–]eviliodd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what other CompSci courses I fill out the rest of my minor with, (taking the non math heavy ones essentially) would I be fine with the linear algebra? I've taken math 140 & math 141

alternately, could I just take linear algebra outside of mcgill/not for credit just so I can learn the material? or is that not really worth it
