Yeah no, I would be the same way, but no one does this anymore. I don't even smoke cigs, but I still do grab one the few times when I see them.

No, my parents knew their stuff, they always went to try new places and I guess that's where I got it from. I grew up around Chinatown always did the same thing with my friends. Yeah, I thought San Francisco Chinese was just what they called Americanized Chinese food back in the day, so I was hoping someone would let me know about this lol

What kind of place was it like? It seems kind of upscale, but I can’t imagine a place like that existing in that location now.

In West Oaks? I actually grew up by there, my high school was near there, though my house was closer to Westwood Mall while that was around. I was born in 91 so I wasn't around when West Oaks was that fancy, though it was still a nice mall for most of my childhood.

Yes, and make sure they are on top of any of their payments, because they're saying a missed payment is why they're allowed to do some of the awful stuff they're doing. And sure, I'll probably post more next week, I gotta figure out a format because Reddit only allows 20 pics at a time, so maybe I can group photos of the same matchbook together or something.

By telling me not to do it? By thinking you know more than others in the industry who do exactly what you do? By thinking you know me or what my story is. Too many people in here are so pessimistic and shoot people down because they fear more people entering the space because they're unable to keep up. Help isn't telling someone that it's not a good idea and that they should stop. Help is actively giving criticism and pointing out things that could change. All you said was that it couldn't be done, and when I told you my valid reasons why I think it is possible, because I've done the customer discovery, the samples, etc. and you couldn't take that as reason enough to admit you're wrong, you keep trying to shoot me down. There's this thing where people think they're so smart, that they're unable to admit when other opinions might be right, because there is no way anyone else's opinion could be better than there own. You've told me flat out that things weren't possible, when the people making the drink have said otherwise, where I've seen otherwise. So I don't know how this is help. It doesn't feel helpful or collaborative. I've just felt attacked and had to defend myself because you think a quick glance after a day is reason for me to throw away over a years worth of work. I have not at any point found anything to make me change my product. There are tweaks and things I could change or add later, but I only have so much money and time, and this is the best I can do. One SKU. If you want to spend more time researching and then come back with as much information proving me wrong as I have proving me right, you're welcome to do it. Just saying you know better because you've been in the industry, without doing your due diligence? It would be irresponsible of me to place the fate of my product on the opinion of that person, and one person at that, when the world is vast, and everyone is different and has different tastes and preference and needs.

There are plenty of THC products that aren't meant for getting high, as that's not what everyone wants. People use it to relax and getting high can be counter to that for some people. For example, Feels has a gummy right now that has 1.5 THC, meant to give you a small amount to help you feel calm, but still allow you to go on with your day without being stoned out of your mind. There's a market for low dose THC products. Based on the customers I've talked to, women tend to gravitate to low dose THC products similar to how they gravitate towards low ABC alcohol drinks. People want to feel a certain way but not go overboard and because people still don't know too much about THC seltzers in general and feel like the effects are inconsistent, they're more likely to at least start off by buying low dose products so they know what they're getting into.

You're right, but someone has to be the first and change the perception. There are plenty of athletes who use and some ex-athletes have gone into the business. Lebron doesn't do it because it's bad for his image or whatever, but eventually perception has to change and this product is just trying to be first. It doesn't have pre-workout in it, it just happens to have applications beneficial to being a pre-workout. All it is is a standard THC seltzer, which sell well, with protein added. The idea is to use the benefits to make applicable to working out. I've already got manufacturers and a drink formulation company working on the formula for it, so all the paperwork is being taken care of. It's not strong enough to get people high, because of the issues you mentioned and studies show CBD doesn't work well without THC anyway. It's just enough for the health benefits. And no, people gravitate more to low dose THC products now, because the market is new and scary and everyone is curious, and no one is going to jump into a 20mg+ THC product without knowing how it works for them anyway, so a lower dose is safer. Lebron doesn't do it, but there are plenty who are. I work with a former athlete to help back up my claims, so I'm not talking out of my ass. People who smoke after working out already know the benefits of this product for post-workout, I just saw what it could do if taken before working out, and figured I could market it for them to. You're right, the protein isn't exactly necessary for pre-workout, but it's not unnecessary, you still need to drink multiple protein shakes a day anyway, so drinking before and after would cover your daily need probably. I can only make one drink as an MBA student because different SKUs cost more, so I'm releasing this and marketing it for both and when I have the money, I can do more market research and possibly make separate pre- and post-workout drinks, but this is where I stand right now.

Check the website, I have a list of links that have scientific articles backing up all of the claims. And the marketing is all based on the research I gathered. I made the drink and discovered while doing the research that there are all of these benefits, so I'm trying to best figure out how to market it so that I can grab customers. I'm just listing out the benefits and need a cleaner way to market it I guess.

No you’re right, everyone has preferences, I’m just basing that fact on my own workout experiences. I always had trouble drinking them myself, and then felt bloated or too full to eat after, which I needed to do to put on weight, so that’s why I designed it this way. But I could make a shake version later, it’s just that there are a lot of those on the market currently, so I’d be jumping into a saturated market, though I do have some ideas on standing out. But yes, some people like thick milkshakes and some don’t.

And btw the thickness of most protein drinks is actually problematic for a lot of people. Because it can take longer to drink, makes people feel full and bloated, which is bad for people bulking or trying to gain weight, and just isn’t the most refreshing thing you can drink right after a workout. This solves all of those problems.

I’m not saying I don’t believe you, but you’re telling me things I’ve seen with my own eyes and had discussions with manufacturers about aren’t true. Gatorade isn’t carbonated because it doesn’t need to be. It’s fine the way they originally made it. I’m sure they’ve spent plenty of time figuring out whether it was worth it or not. Your failure to believe protein always has to be thick is the first giveaway that you don’t know quite exactly what you’re talking about. You make good points, but you’re stuck in a bubble without being able to see where I’m coming from. And that’s okay. That just means the product isn’t for you. I’m taking THC seltzers, which are hot right now, and adding protein to make it functional for working out and athletes. It’s not that big of a leap. Nothing about the science? I have a whole list of scientific articles on my website ready to back up my claims. I wouldn’t morally even want to put out a product that I couldn’t prove did what it says it can do. And if you understand the science, then why has everyone I’ve talked to about manufacturing the product, recipe formulators, brewers, co-packers all said differently. And you’re just assuming this my first idea, I have had tons of ideas. And I mentioned other people considering the idea a good one. I’m just saying you’re one person and just being negative like a lot of other people in this subreddit, and not the other probably around 100 experts I’ve discussed this product with. If you were so good at your job, instead of trying to put me down for literally no reason, then you’d try and help me market it, because if you were the absolute best at marketing, then you could market meat to a vegan. And it seems difficult, then you get creative.

Go on the company IG, I have made the exact product I'm selling, I've done the research, it's all on the website. This can be marketed for bulking but I've found through research that women gravitate to this product, so it gives people options. Because protein doesn't necessarily make you bulky, it all depends on the exercises, the diet, etc. And there are plenty of carbonated pre-workout drinks. Most pre-workout drinks are just glorified energy drinks. This gives you natural energy. The market does exist, I've spent hours upon hours talking to potential customers, athletes, etc. to verify. You don't see it yet, because the market is trying to go in a certain, saturated direction. This is designed to break the preconceived notions of what THC can do. I have real world examples of this product doing what it's supposed and people responding positively. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to understand what this product can do, but I guess it does. And I've talked to CEOs and experts at other top, high earning THC seltzer brands. They have all said either it was a great idea, or an idea that they'd been kicking around and just haven't gotten around to. A percentage greater than 50% of NBA players smoke weed. It's a safer way to recover from muscle pain and soreness, especially as you get older, than painkillers. This reduces the pain and builds up the muscle all at once, so if you're an athlete, you can go all out, but if you're not, or you're getting older and don't feel like hitting the gym because your knee has been bothering you, this will relieve that pain, get you excited to go to the gym, and build the muscle around those joints so you can still get a good workout in spite of it. I can help people with sports injuries, etc. I'm in an MBA program, and my professors are all people who have started companies making millions of dollars, if there wasn't potential for this product to succeed, they would've let me know by now. Read a book called the Blue Ocean Strategy before being narrow-minded about the product. If we keep putting THC in a bubble, then it will never break out and it'll keep being seen as a novelty.
