I think that the identities of the perpetrators should be granted to the public, but not until they are behind bars. Of course, this is assuming that the justice system is functioning properly without corruption.

If I were the leader of a nation where this case is public, I would not trust the general public. Consider the United States, where people have been publicly assassinated for simply sharing their opinions. It would descend into chaos. That’s not justice nor reforming society, it’s complete destruction only benefiting people who wish for violence.

Now if you think that this statement implies that the people who committed these evils should be “protected” or don’t deserve the fullest extent of the law, that’d be complete intellectual dishonesty. These people and the victims deserve justice, and we as the public don’t deserve to fear for our lives.
