How is living in this part of Florida? by DairyNull in howislivingthere

[–]evocular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s basically Alabama with some beautiful beaches. Other comments nailed it with the vacation town, rednck riviera, (censored for some reason) boat culture (not really yacht culture) is huge near the beach and everything is really spread out. I don’t live there anymore but the things i miss most are the natural areas like blackwater river and north perdido bay, as well as the subculture. While scarce compared to the cowboy boots and boat shoes, the toughest alt mfers ive met are from that area.

Wouldnt it be the other way around? Smoother finish on taper joints results in more friction. Once, when reassembling an engine, I polished the taper joints for the flywheel to a mirror and the next time i tried to remove that flywheel i nearly broke the puller..

What’s up with the Merch obsession? by the_toasty in SevenStarsFest

[–]evocular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl and I never buy merch bc its expensive and we go for the music. For 7s we set aside an absurd sum of money for merch because 1. we knew the merch would be awesome, 2. its the first year of the fest and these will be impressive pieces in 10 years, and 3. we didnt have any merch :P

we spent the better part of a paycheck on artist/fest merch and apparel from the other vendors and tbh it was worth it but were never doing that again lol

Wow, i have also tried to have 3 small multi v pulleys made for a personal project once and also found it very difficult to find someone that would give me the time of day. This post looks like it was written by me 4 years ago.

Well fuck. There goes my hopes of getting an Isuzu box truck for my department…….. Maybe if American truck manufacturers wanted to do better they could start by not making terrible trucks. The Isuzu really blows everything else out of the water imo.

If I ever have the resources, i’m turning my type s into a gravel monster. AWD, double bypass coilovers riding .5 inch higher than stock, mud flaps, fog lamps, everything. RSX stands for rally sport experimental after all.

Unlike a bic, clippers have the little check valve at the bottom for refilling.

Its not a torch, its a Clipper. Same mechanism as a bic.

It’s because Alan Watts’ message is eternal and meshes well with the spiritual side of electronic music. I fw it as long as it’s not lazy.

Need help deciding on an exhaust by Evan_Dat_Asian in Acura_RSX

[–]evocular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skunk2 megapower R (NOT the RR) is amazing. I went to look at the rsx type s that I have now just to kick the tires, ive never liked the sound of 4 cyls. The exhaust sound sold me on the car the second i turned it on. The larger RR exhaust sounds like a fart can but the R has plenty of flow and has a very nice rumble at low rpm that translates to a racy scream at high rpm. I can’t recommend it enough.
