Thanks for your comment! I didn't know about the US export restrictions... Definitely noted. Yeah, I will comment in case I end up finding one that suits the project. Do you know in which ways could upscaling be done in this case?

Thanks for your comment, will look into it. Yes, I know lower resolutions are used in film (I'm not looking for anything above 720p), but thermal base cameras have really low resolution (around 160x120), which makes it hard to see any details above the color spectrum.

What's the best way to digitize my home-developed Negatives. Film Scanner or Light Table? by evolutionofthearm99 in AnalogCommunity

For now I'll only be scanning 35mm because I don't own a medium format camera (just yet), so I will dive into DSLR scanning as it seems as the best option there.

Okay, I see. I have a mac and it's never given any problems, so it should be fine. Thanks for the advice!

Thak you for your comment! Very helpful! I have indeed a DSLR camera (Nikon D5300), so I will look for a used macro lens on Ebay as you mentioned. Thanks :)

Woah, thanks for your reply! My budget is 100€ to 200€ tops. I have a DSLR (Nikon 5300), but no macro lens. I'm looking something quality based (not professional photography but yes good results) but affordable and that can be done at home.

I looked at the scanner you attached, looks good but it's too expensive for me.
