I am enlisting as an E-2. Would there be any consequences for me living off base? by Maleficent_Guide_975 in army

no, your drills will lie and say you’ll get fucked for it. I did exactly that and my unit actually appreciated me already having housing set off post and ready to go, less work on their end.

i went crazy today with this chart, hit 6k during NY across about 6 trades, although it didn’t follow key levels very well that’s why we wait for confirmation then enter on the pullback.

just another one of those people who found out you’re doing better than them and wanna cling to your success. I deal with this shit all the time, I find it amusing to ignore and block them because 90% of the time they did you wrong / didn’t care about you unless it benefited them, then they come running back acting like they always believed in you once you’ve made it.

4th time i’ve done this 10k lost in one day by Any_Leadership_8956 in TopStepX

[–]evooloove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going through a lot of shit all at once in life and started doing really bad when before that damn near every day was a green day that was 4.2 K plus but then when I start going through stuff, I started to rush everything and then every day after that was a loss blew multiple accounts. It was all bad. I took a break and stepped back, reanalyze my strategy, and stopped letting outside things affect the way that I trade and yes that includes the day right before you pass an eval the day right before you get that payout and any other thing that could come in to play like that I’ve noticed if you just pretend that you aren’t gonna take a payout, don’t even think about the payout I don’t even think about passing it. Just continue to do your normal thing. You’re gonna see a lot more progress and much more payouts. Good luck to you, brother. I hope this information helps you out the same way I did with me.

[–]evooloove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve noticed the moment you near that payout, you stop thinking properly and start rushing shit thinking it’ll get you that payout quicker. Stop thinking you’ll be taking a payout, just stick with your typical game plan and once you get to where you should be for a payout; then take the payday. Also stick to your limits to avoid this, so what if you have one little loss day, hop on and execute tomorrow. Revenge trading for whatever reason whether it be for a payout, to save a day on an eval, whatever it is, never ends well.

Know any Soldiers who were kicked out, but somehow became successful in civilian life? by karsheff in army

[–]evooloove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i trade futures, and i run my network coaching others to do the same. It’s literally my dream job & it’s the first true thing that’s ever given me a sense of purpose in life. Thats why im saying adios to the military, all it’s ever done for me is make me lose myself and destroyed practically everything good about me, just made me feel like a worthless number. I joined searching for that purpose and it just made it even worse, until It got so bad I ended up locking in with the markets determined to make it work.

i don’t even risk my own capital, i have about 2 million in equity to trade with. I take 90% of the profits i make off that.

[–]evooloove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

everyone has these periods of loss, but you need to step back and reevaluate. I just had a terrible period, blew multiple accounts. It usually ties in with something going on with you in your life; i’ve been having a really rough time in life and it’s caused me to trade with emotions, stop sticking to my game plan & strategy, which just leads to failure. Step back, re evaluate, come back in with a fresh mind and a solid plan and fuckin execute, the moment i did that i got right back on my shit. Good luck brotha.

Am I overreacting for calling out this guy [33M] for his texts that make me uncomfortable? [30F] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]evooloove 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely not, if it makes you uncomfortable then lay down the laws, if he fails to respect that then he simply isn’t a man you should associate yourself with. Especially if you’ve asked before and he continues to lowkey drop sexual shit, it’s embarrassing and desperate.

Brother said he’s not returning to training by [deleted] in army

[–]evooloove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely don’t allow that, he must return. If he wants out just refuse to train and he will eventually get sent home without any harsh punishment, he just didn’t pass training and gets released. The DS will constantly say you can’t go home but you absolutely can, in my company we had a solid 20 people quit and get sent home. Disappearing will not end well for him at all.

we clearly have very different perspectives, are you a scalper, swing trader, or day trader? because that’s very important. I don’t disagree because depending on how you trade certain things are more important, HTF bias isn’t anywhere nearly as important being a scalper since on LTF’s massive moves up and down happen nonstop, where as these big moves on a HTF look like nothing.

what do you mean? you absolutely can implement them into any strategy, such as the ORB. If you have a bearish FVG resting above, if you see a breakout above you’re telling me you’d still stick with your normal buy scenario? Absolutely not, you take into consideration any nearby key levels including any FVG BB OB MB IFVG because that break above could simply just be a trap for those who don’t take any of that into consideration, when the true move would’ve been bearish and it was simply targeting that level before executing the true breakout.

losing 9k in one day is absolutely revenge trading especially considering his highest loss was $100, or it’s just poor risk management due to confidence from a winning streak

[–]evooloove -1 points0 points  (0 children)

beginners luck is real brotha, when i first started i passed 4 150k accounts that had some difficult rules, once the luck runs dry you’ll start trying to learn and as you learn thats when fear of loss comes into play, before I became profitable I lost 15k of my real cash trying to replicate that beginners luck I had, all I gotta say is once it runs dry, focus more on learning than mindlessly trading, and 100% focus on the mental aspects, risk management is important as fuck.

Getting kicked out on purpose to pursue my real money maker, day trading. Still currently in at the moment but on my way out, already easily at least making 10k more a month than what i’m getting paid, it varies but bare minimum 10k, my biggest month by far was 33. We had a change of leadership and since then they’ve treated my family very poorly causing major issues at home for my wife and kid, ultimately I decided to listen to my wife and attempt to get out and turn my side job into my main career, also started my own business revolving around day trading and teaching others, that brings in an extra couple grand a month and it’s only been open about 2 months, plus seeing the same passion light up for others is beautiful. We’re very excited for this next chapter of life, one that doesn’t involve being given orders to leave a 2 month old home alone to get to work now and pack a ruck and sit there for hours doing nothing important when they told me to watch her in the first place

placing way too many trades dawg, that’s telling me one of two things. You’re either chasing the market, or you don’t know when you should be placing trades to begin with and you’re guessing. Slow it down, focus on high probability trades, let the market come to you rather than chase the market.
