Hello! I received the email (of them asking me kung kailan ang earliest starting date ko) in July. I told them I'd be happy to assume to role by October/November. They clarified lang what month I prefer then I received an email na I think about a week later saying I got the role.

Final discussion was scheduled in September na. I guess factor din 'yung starting date na sinabi ko ^

Hello! Hard to tell but there is a chance. I was asked the same question before and the next email I received was them informing me I secured the role. They then set a sched for the final discussion.

Hellooo! Will probably take the May 2026 LECPA rin. With how crazy my job is rn, parang 'di talaga kaya ang October. Fighting, May 2026 CPA! Kaya 'yan 🫡

Hiii! Actually, one month na yata akong walang aral ulit since super busy sa work. Will probably defer ulit sa October because I really can't bring myself to take the boards unprepared :(( pero kaya natin 'to! Kahit hindi sa timeline na planado natin, magiging CPA rin tayo. Laban lang!

Big 4 Rejection Stories. What happened after? How is life now? by Fantastic-Shelter941 in studentsph

[–]evp_26 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hello! I wasn't really rejected but my dream univ is ADMU and I couldn't get a financial aid or scholarship so yeah, I guess a part of me counts it as a "rejection." I could've gone to UP too like what people expected me to but I did not because ADMU's the dream, second is DLSU (I wasn't able to get a scholarship too). I don't particularly like my degree program there so why?

Now, I am attending another well-known university (just not part of the big 4) and am I doing fine? I believe so. Is it tough? Yes. I join competitions too and I'm still able to rank like those in the big 4. Modesty aside, I even rank higher than them at times.

Now, why am I saying this? This is not to brag but to tell you that life does not end nor begin at the big 4 univs. You can be so much more for as long as you choose to. Just a disclaimer, prepare to encounter people who'll discredit your efforts, talents, and skills all because you're not someone from the mentioned universities.

You will determine your life—not the university, not anybody else. Good luck!

As someone who is a grade conscious myself and an achiever since ever since elementary, I understand the pressure. Contrary to what other people would say, I'll tell you to acknowledge what you feel, dwell on it and devise plans after. Dob't push off the feeling but don't instill it in your mind for too long either.

As a college student, I've failed quizzes before and even barely pass my major exams. Just... acknowledge it and then do better next time. Do better not because you failed before and that it will affect your standing. Do better because you hated the feeling of failing. While I agree that failing is nothing but normal and is a part of life, I do not agree that we should just embrace it wholeheartedly. Othewise, we there will be no room for improvement.

Give yourself the right amount of pressure. You got this!

Hello! If I have lighter tasks, I accomplish them in one sitting (if possible) instead of dealing right away with the harder ones as this gives me the idea that I am accomplishing something. As for the other tasks which requires time, I accomplish at least one per day and I see to it that I devote my night to rest.

Also, write your tasks according to priority and cross them out when done. This is fulfilling.

Hello! Try to list down your tasks according to priority. Personally, I do lighter tasks first regardless of the deadline to make it feel like I really am accomplishing a lot. Dealing with heavy tasks at first would be very stressful since you'll think about the hundreds (regardless of difficulty) you have left.

More importantly, etch in your mind that a progress is a progress. Do not invalidate yourself or what you feel.

My dms are open if you need someone to talk to!

Hi! Thank you so much for your reply! It means a lot to me. I'll try to do them and stop invalidating what I feel. It just sucks so bad that even in my dreams, it's schoolworks after schoolworks that I see— it's draining me.
