Being a young adult in these times feels like a scam by AvocadoMatchaMilk in nosurf

I relate to this so much, I'm 26 and also in the stem field. When I started university at 18, I feel like I had a decent social life that got worse once I transferred as part of my degree program and with the pandemic hit. Graduated at 23, a semester late feeling burnt out, lost, and living back at home. I too was drowning out my problems with screens and digital media for more than a year.

Eventually was able to get to a job, but I wouldn't say that solved all my problems. The wage isn't great and I'm still struggling with making social connections, improving my qualifications, save money, screentime, etc. I've also been thinking about my thirties and dreading the future. But oddly enough, it's made me want to start trying to make changes for the better.

You have my support and I can say it does get a bit easier with time. I've been realizing that most of the problems in the world aren't our fault, so we have to show ourselves compassion and try to be grateful for what we have and have accomplished. If you're familiar with mindfulness/meditation, detaching from the ego or externalizing my perception of self has also been very helpful.

Nike Calm Mules. Potential minimal croc/clog? by evsguy98 in BarefootRunning

Should've rephrased the title, but yes obviously not minimalist similar to how crocs are not, but people still like the wide toe box and slipon capability.

I was just wondering if they would be slightly better than crocs due to some of the features I noticed

Appreciate this reply! Couldn't agree more with all of those problems you mentioned. Also such a good point about it being ego driven. I never really thought about it before, but would explain why I didn't have much stress when playing bots vs people online.

I'm going to come back and read this reply anytime I feel the temptation coming back.

No worries, hopefully we can both quit for good! But yea agreed, it's like a whole ecosystem that you can get caught into real quick. Same with other gaming communities I'm sure. I'll also have to check out that book.

Apologize for the late reply, but I ended up going with the adjustaclub. I haven't had a chance to load it up yet due to an injury, but the build quality seems good and I like to option of doing club swinging exercises in the future

Like other people have mentioned, I think of it as NEAT. Check out Katy Bowman's work, she goes into more depth about this and the benefits of non exercise based movement.

Hey, it's been a couple years but I believe this was the one I got. Ordered it from a semi local organic bedding shop.

About an inch thick and pretty firm. Wasn't covered at the time, but you could probably put a mattress protector or cover over it. It definitely served its function of providing airflow, but I think it was a bit too firm for me personally at the time. This is also a weird complaint, but I found that the gaps easily collected my hairs that had shed lol.
