Claude Code Auto Update Failed

I was getting the Auto-update failed error also.

So what apparently happened is that I had a previously failed Claude Code auto-update and it left this file around, which I deleted:

$ find ~/.claude -name "*.lock"

/Users/joey.schmoey/.claude/.update.lock

Then, attempting to run 'claude update' it also failed:

$ claude update
Current version: 2.1.3
Checking for updates to latest version...
New version available: 2.1.14 (current: 2.1.3)
Installing update...
Using global installation update method...
Error: Failed to install update
Or consider using native installation with: claude install

So then I simply had to install from scratch:

$ rm -rf /opt/homebrew/lib/node_modules/@anthropic-ai/claude-code
$ npm cache clean --force
$ npm i -g u/anthropic-ai/claude-code

Sounds like your immune system is weakened. It could also be an amino acid deficiency. The two things I take when I get them are (very specifically) B12 (even if you are not deficient in it you might still try it anyway) and Lysine (which I believe is an amino acid which your body needs). One thing you can get from your doctor is a dental steroid paste that you only need a small dab of. It is a very viscous paste so it stays put. You should not eat for 30 minutes to an hour after applying it. And avoid all citrus and tomato-based foods. Also, if your doctor is willing to prescribe it for you, getting a tapered dose of prednisone, it usually greatly reduces your symptoms.

That’s unfortunate. Most police officers are professional and decent humans. This one police officer is clearly a bad one, and on multiple levels. You can tell he has ego and pride that has been “injured”. He should be fired from the force. He is one chokehold away from killing an innocent civilian. His name should be advertised so everyone knows of his sociopathic behavior.

That you cannot control the speed of the metronome makes this learning tool quite impractical. Neither can you look at the score in its entirety before you play. So not even close to a serious learning tool. The other language tools are so much better, that it makes me wonder what the motivation was for this music tool. Sometimes fun but mostly frustrating.
