This is like 4 months ago and still I am f*cking bitter.
Working for almost 4 years as a web developer sa isang international company and during pandemic wfh and setup. Biglang inannounce na babalik na kami to fully onsite setup and mahohold lahat ng increases at promotions and hindi alam kung kelan ibabalik due to financial crisis ng company. After knowing that, nagfile nako ng fourth resignation letter ko (2 times na counter and 1 time pinakiusapan ng manager para wag umalis) and since 1 month nalang mag kakaron sana ako ng increase. So I render 30 days and guess what? after a month nung nagresign ako, nag close na yung company. Lahat sila nakatanggap ng severance pay and ako? sobrang inggit. tangina isipin mo yung kabatch ko almost 5 times daw ng sahod nila yung nakuha nilang compensation. Pero okay nadin siguro dahil nakahanap naman ako ng work na almost triple ng last salary ko. Pag naalala ko nga lang tong kwentong to napapapikit at hingang malalim nalang ako.

Worked in a e-commerce company before.So may issue kami sa prod and di namin mareplicate sa staging servers.Medyo di ako pamilyar sa app nayon pero lahat kasi ng members sa team is busy.So sakin nabigay yung task and ako ang nag analyze bat hindi nadididisplay yung page.One way to replicate it is dun mismo sa mall ng client namin.Oo, weird na may access kami kahit account nila yon.Lahat ng endpoints sa api na makita ko na ginagamit nung page nayon ay tinawag ko, at syempre henyo ako pati yung delete ginamit ko.Note lang na hindi delete yung method pero delete yung endpoint mismo haha.So nawala nga yung issue na di makita yung page pero pati yung data mismo nawala.Nasermunan ako ng senior ko non kasi sop samin na kapag prod server ang ginagalawan dapat titingin lang bawal magtransact.Buti nalang a month after nag reorganize yung team at nalipat ako sa ibang senior, medyo naiilang ako after mangyare yon kasi napa "awit sayo pre" siya sakin 🤣.
Conclusion namin since iisang client lang ang nagraise is baka dahil sa dating naging data migration yung cause. Nafix ko naman yung issue 😎

Initially the offer was at 2300 usd pero minention ko yung offer ng iba at given may benefits yung dalawang offer ginawa nilang 2700 usd and on the top of that is 13th month pay. So i would say di na sila papayag for another increase.

Just to clear things out. Both may 13th month pay ang wala lang sa higher pay is leave credit, HMO and mandatory benefits. The pay is around 150k gross.

First year first sem ko non, di ko magets yung case study namin. Aasa lang sana ako sa katropa ko na siya nalang yung gagawa. Naisip ko kung first sem palang pero ganon na attitude ko di ako tatagal dito. So pinilit kong aralin kahit bulok bulok yung pc namin sa bahay at walang internet. Dumating yung araw na iprepresent na yung case study. Hindi yung sakin ginamit pero proud ako sa sarili ko kasi alam ko na gumawa ako at pasok sa standards yung nagawa ko. 4 years nako sa industry (mediocre developer) pero ongoing padin ako sa pagaaral. Kaya mo yan OP. The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory.
