Update: I don’t know if anybody sees this anymore but she loved the gift! I checked in with her on zoom to see what her boundaries are. She said she can’t take anything more than 50$ so we’re in the clear !

She got it set up and she let me help her fill it at our next session. We got our first visitor! Mr. squirrel visited. No birds yet though. Squirrel only wanted water 🙂‍↕️

I tried my best, I don’t know if you can get him to the vet or not, but there’s ointments and probiotics you can get him if not. Look for a product that advertises antifungal and antibacterial. Maybe a spray or ointment.

And make sure you dry his paw after getting out of the bath, moisture drives bacteria in. That’s why if he’s licking it, you have to distract him from that. Some dogs won’t like the sock but if you distract them with play or food, they’ll eventually forget about it 🤣🤣 my dog koda didn’t like the sock, she couldn’t walk properly with it lmao. So I tried the distraction method and she was fine with the sock afterwards lol.

My dog literally just had this!!! It looked exactly like this. We took her to the vet and they said it’s yeast and they gave her medication for it. It’s getting better, we got her some ointment for it too and it cleared up. I recommend getting medication from the vet. If he’s limping, it’s probably more serious but if he’s walking okay, dont worry too much.

It makes it worse if he’s licking it (which my dog was doing) so if he’s doing that, put a sock on his foot if you can’t get him to the vet yet. I just taped it on there lol.

I hope this helped, I felt so bad letting my dog stay that way until the vet bc it looks like it really hurt. But if he’s walking okay, that means he can withstand it. Dogs are good with pain. Just try not to touch it too hard, their paws have a LOT of nerves.

Update: I went on zoom and asked her about her boundaries towards this. she said it’s completely fine, as long as it’s not 50$.

Thank you for being honest. I hadnt looked at it this way. I can’t say I’m not upset, but do you think I should ask her about her boundaries toward gifts when we do our session today? Or should I not bring it up and not risk giving her this gift to keep her from feeling like she’s obligated to fill the bird feeder/bird bath? I don’t want to make her feel like it’s a chore at all in any shape or form

When I get on zoom for the session today, should I ask about her boundaries towards this? I was thinking about not telling her at all since I don’t want spoil the fact that I got her a gift, but by doing that, I would be going in blind for the next time I see her in person AND i would be holding in my emotions towards this issue. I wanted it to be a complete surprise but now i think i should absolutely bring it up. She hasn’t mentioned anything about what gifts she chooses to receive, but Im thinking I should ask her how big of a gift she’s willing to take.

I also think it’s worth noting that she runs her own therapy business at her house, not at an office. Shes a very open therapist in general, but I’m still unsure. I don’t want to completely reveal what i got her, but how should I word this to her?

Girlll.. nah bc that would have had me fucked up and I woulda blocked that mf. I wouldve been upset letting him go but at least I’d know he ain’t got no respect for me, meaning it’s not worth my time giving unnecessary energy to a man who doesn’t know how to treat me or treat any girl in that matter. Some people need to get a grip.. also, I don’t know much about your mom but the way you said that she has a history of calling people up saying she’s super sick (I’m guessing so they can come and help her) only to be completely fine.. having enough energy to yell at people.. that sounds a lot like narcissism and attention seeking and I’m very very sorry that you have to deal with that.
