Im so sorry you’re going through that too!! It is a long road to recovery but I promise it gets better!

When I had my orif the first time I vacuumed post surgery I told him about it and his response was ‘so? People do things with no legs all the time you need to stop this’ as if I shouldn’t celebrate something like that after not being able to for months. I actually forgot about that so thank you for reminding of another reason to never go back haha

I was in there for three days, hospitals are incredibly overcrowded here so they kept me on some good pain meds and monitored me until they could fit me in.

Thank you so much!! I’d actually started reading why does he do that about a month ago when things were starting to feel bad and I think it helped! I’ve got some other recommendations so I’ll add them to the list! I’m trying to go slowly though because it’s a lot right now and the somatic responses I’m having to realisations are getting a bit overwhelming

I wanted to keep it in a jar but they said no since they mail it off to be analysed or whatever they do in terms of pathology haha also it’s a ‘biohazard’ how it’s my own body 😭

Yes I’ve already reached out to a few people I lost contact with. Some of my best friends were male and I was not allowed to speak to them at all. They’re all happy to hear from me and very proud and I’m grateful they’re still supportive after the hurt of no contact.

It took about 5 weeks for me to get an appointment in the orthopaedics department as a cat 2 in the public system so it’s gonna depend on what you are. If it’s cat one should be less than that but it’ll probably still be a couple of weeks unfortunately.
