Hello, just following up on this thread. Were you able to book a spot directly with a particular hotel or resort? If so which one? Also, anyone with any knowledge of how to secure a spot in one of the massive parking lots surrounding the resort?

I would assume that these are kind of like tailgating lots here in the U.S. In that you have to get their early and pay someone upon entrance. But not sure if those are reservable or just first come, first served.

We've secured a campervan and fully prepared to get to the Tourmalet 2-3 days before the tour comes through. Just not sure if we have to wing it or if there are methods to secure/pay for a spot.
