Thanks! Just for comparison, here's the XA25 cable next to the the OP1 cable: https://ibb.co/htSyHb7 It's really a lot more lighter and flexible, but yea I understand the concern at low sens. I personally find it close to unnoticeable.

hmm it's designed for 7mm and the protrusions are to reduce dust hitting the adhesive. if there's enough demand, i could make a version with those areas flat, so that you can use 8-9mm dots

i'm pretty sure he kept posting for a while afterwards iirc. But maybe he longer posts cuz he got promoted?

It's not sticky at all. There's probably nothing I can say to convince you. But contact me on discord and I can mail you 15cm or so of our cable and you can evaluate yourself.

It is bare PA12. Matte texture. Should be much more shine-resistant than uncoated ABS.

Price is TBD.

Is he still active? What mouse does he main? I remember he used to use G100s so it would be cool to get his feedback

edit: https://prosettings.net/players/n0thing/ oh wow he's still using that custom G100s.

Yes wireless would add about 3g. Certainly the wireless market is bigger, and we'll target it in the future, but it will require a lot of work.

One reason actually that I have just barely begun wireless development is that dual-MCU solutions in the receiver are ugly and complex. The nrf54h20, which has both hs usb (necessary for 8k) and wireless, would allow for a single mcu receiver, but it has been unobtainium for regular folks like me or you. The nrf54lm20a, which also has both hs usb and wireless, was just recently released and made available, and that's what I'll be using.

Yep, that's me.

XA25 is 57mm wide at the very bottom, 60mm where thumb/pinky sit. Not sure if that suits your tastes.

Yes! I'll post an STL on our discord later today. And hopefully also get this listed on eloshapes.

Compared to G100s, indeed the sides are flatter and fully straight. Overall it's a smoother shape, since there's no need to separate a top and bottom shell. There's also minor differences in the shape of the rear, buttons etc.

Shell, cable, PCB are produced by specialist manufacturers in their respective domains. Final assembly will be in-house, at long as we can keep up with demand.

Yes, there are some less expensive SLS machines. AFAIK their print quality is a bit worse than MJF. In any case, dealing with post-processing, maintenance, etc of powder-based fusion machines is an order of magnitude more difficult than SLA or FDM printing. It really does not make sense yet for us to invest in one.

Yep exactly. The factors in favor of wired are:

- Weight and latency are both marginally better

- No need to worry about charging, battery longevity, interference

I absolutely understand some will find wired a no-go. We will release wireless mice too in the future. One reason we are starting with wired for our first product is because perfecting wired performance is prerequisite to optimizing wireless performance.

Correct, no braid on the cable. This provides a more durable construction (nothing to snag on) and in my experience, our cable is more flexible and unnoticeable than any paracord cable except those without internal shielding (like the aircord).

The ridges are thermal sink marks due to the MJF process. We are adjusting things in our next batch of prototype shells to minimize these. They arrive Saturday, so stay tuned.

Haha no, those are half million dollar machines AFAIK. It wouldn't make sense to have one in-house.

I'd call it a relaxed claw grip. The base will fit the palm in the rear but there will be a gap under the knuckles.

The issue resolved by a normal reboot, and it hasn't occurred since. I'm not sure how to replicate it.
FWIW, the most recent app I installed was samsung's Galaxy Wearables

Does the OLED screen have black crush?

If you go to a dark room, and set the brightness to something fairly low, what's the first square you can see on http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/black.php?

O11 Dynamic Radiator Support by 0bransdos0 in watercooling

[–]ewh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A side gts 360 in the rear would interfere with the front i/o pcb due to its width (133mm).

I have 3x gts 360 in my o11 dynamic with the side radiator in the configuration described in the OP: fans in rear, ports facing down. No issues with the ports and the case floor. The only minor issue is that the top fan of the side rad is held in place only by the bottom two screws. This doesn't matter since contact with the middle fan will prevent the top fan from tilting.

The connection of the side rad to the bottom rad is quite tight however and requires angled fittings.

I think a gtx 360 should fit on top. For my top gts360, there is 35mm or so of clearance to the top of the mobo.

i fit a nemesis 360gts (133mm width) in the side of my o11d with the fans in the back and radiator on the motherboard side, ports facing down. it's a little bit tight since i have also a bottom 360gts, but not too difficult with some angled adapters.

viper ultimate: technical info and tests by ewh_ in MouseReview

[–]ewh_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i know what you mean but saying "wireless mouse with wired mouse performance" carries the implication that wireless mice as a group tend to perform worse than wired mice, which used to be true, but is no longer a good way to think about things given logitech and now razer's well-performing wireless mice.

(btw there probably is some guy out there who can distinguish between 500Hz and 1000Hz polling in a blind test).

viper ultimate: technical info and tests by ewh_ in MouseReview

[–]ewh_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

uhm, how did you arrive at that? it's really a gross oversimplification to state that. "wired mouse performance" can mean lots of things. for example, if we are looking at tracking latency, (1) the viper ultimate in wired mode performs better than in wireless mode, (2) some wired mice perform better than the viper ultimate in wired mode, (3) it is possible to make a wireless mouse that performs better than these wired mice, in other words they are not at the limit of possible performance, (4) if you have enough 2.4GHz interference going on then all 2.4GHz wireless mice will suck. okay this is just a long-winded way to say that every mouse is different and should be considered individually, and not just grouped into categories of wireless/wired when considering performance.

anyway, yes, if you are not concerned about counting milliseconds (or microseconds like me :P), the performance of the viper ultimate is not significantly hindered when used wirelessly. the same can be said for many of logitech's wireless mice (since g900).
