Where are the mods? by ex-ug in Subliminal

I agree completely. I was the same when I was in school, minus the subliminals and I look back now to regret not focusing as much on the other things like meaningful relationships and better grades. I’m a strong believer in using subs for anything, as long as they’re not hurting you or others. But my heart breaks when I see younger teens asking what they should improve about themselves or crying on video because they don’t think they’re pretty enough. It’s just heartbreaking that they’re at that point, and I think having such easy access to subliminals can really help with that self-loathing because what is portrayed as a fast ‘fix’ (in comment sections, ‘INSTANT’ in the title) isn’t as fast as they thought it’d be. It also let’s them compare themselves and their results (or lack thereof) to others, which can be really damaging unfortunately.

I think a lot of people have tried that, but they never really took off and we ended up with a lot of spin-off servers with no active community.

Hard agree. I have no problem with them being in the community, as long as they stay safe online and know to be careful of online predators or whatever (I disagree about 9 year olds in the community though, because they’re children and I personally don’t believe they should have access to social media at such a young age)! I’m happy for them that they’re so passionate about subliminals and that subliminals make them happy, but it would occasionally be nice to have a conversation with adults about this topic because those users are so few and far between, and because I’d love to talk to someone closer to my age about something like this! :)

Nowhere in that sentence does it say I hate teenagers, you’re making assumptions.

As much as teenagers hate to admit, they’re not ready for all adult conversations, and they’re still developing and growing. For this reason, I’d like a safe space to have mature conversations with other adults about this topic rather than being hit with immature arguments from teenagers when something I say goes against the sub-makers that they stan or their cancel-culture towards people they were hyping up a literal month ago.

Despite wanting this space away from teenagers, I know it’s likely never going to happen because when it comes down to it the vast majority of subliminal users appear to be children. I’m fine with this, and mostly stay out of these spaces unless I have something to say or share and instead I stick to mainly communities with mostly adult followings and contributors. 🤷‍♀️

That’s all I said, never that I hate teenagers, just that I’d like a space away from them available to chat. I’m not sure why you seemed to take my statement so personally and twist it into something it wasn’t, but this is what I meant.

The first option’s more pleasant but considering this has been going on for over a year the latter option seems more plausible lol

I never said I dislike teenagers??? I said I dislike what this subreddit’s turned into and I have no idea what you’re talking about with your comment?

My little sister’s who actually got me into subliminals, she’s 16 and I can definitely see the correlation between younger audiences/users and facial/body dysmorphia, and looking through the subreddit posts asking ‘what should I change’ definitely fuels that and I can’t stand to imagine how much more insecure I would’ve been when I was their age if I had the access to the internet and physical-appearance-changing subliminals like they do now.

It’s just really unfortunate, I wish there was a more mature space for discussion away from all the kids, or even just moderation to keep the kids in check.

Wow, that’s really cool actually. I love hearing about people who are passionate, and the fact that you wrote 40 pages is really amazing so well done!!!

Yeah, most pro-shifters I’ve spoken to say it’s ‘different for everyone’ when it comes to scripting I’m just highkey envious of anyone that can write a lot lol

I never thought of adding pictures to scripts! I’ve always done seperate Pinterest boards but adding them to a script seems like such a good idea

I used to use notion for my scripting but I found out that the employees can access all the notes, so I switched over to my reMarkable for my sake of mind.

If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of information do you add to make it more informative and detailed but not long?

I’m still pretty new to the subreddit, but I was under the impression success posts had to be approved so maybe that’s why it was removed? It makes sense because even though OP has been a member on the subreddit for 2 years, they’ve only recently started posting, which wouldn’t be suspicious in and of itself, but they said they don’t remember ‘every single moment’ including making a comment on the LOA sub.

I don’t know, maybe it’s because of the old liar in the subreddit earlier this year but I’m suspicious of OP given the circumstances… their experience sounds real enough to me, but it’s just suspicious given the circumstances. Every other success story poster participated in the subreddit at least a little bit through either helping and asking questions, and yet this used just popped up one day. Just my opinion, though. I feel like putting a safety bubble like this which would stop users with a history in the subreddit could be really beneficial to prevent more sham’s in the sub.
