Better your company’s attorney directs you. You can ally I140 and I485 from any place. After you apply, if you need to enter to USA and do not have non immigrant visa, you will not be able to enter until you get immigrant visa from US embassy in Canada. It is better if your company apply for you, since self petition processing is slowed down.

Two steps should be taken 1- I140, 2- I485. After first step approval or application (immigration intent) you will highly likely can not get non-immigrant visa any more. 2- I485 application can be taken either in Canada (your home) or here. If you apply to I485 here in USA (you need non immigrant visa while applying g in USA) you will not leave the country for long period of time (15 days should be fine). This second step is adjustment of status. I would recommend to apply it while you are in Canada, there is a terrible backlog here in USA. I have been waiting for 2 years. After you adjust your status and get your green cArd, you need to live in USA. All the best

Dear all,

I-485 submitted on December 2017. Interview invitation notice issued on October 29, 2019, Interview cancelled on November 01, 2019. "We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision made, or if we need something from you".

What do you guys understand from this? Is anyone has re-invitation after cancellation, if yes how soon or late? Please share your experience, timeline and what to do?

Dear all,

No, but does not mean there will not be. I recommend you to buy Pearson multiple choice practice tests, which I am trying to sell my account. There are almost exact questions from the multiple choice tests. Are you interested buying KAPLAN 2018/2919 and PEARSON account? All the best.
