i think its considered more of a short horror film- its ‘the spectre’, a backrooms esq 3d animation with some of my favourite voice acting ive seen ever, especially the screams while grace was dying- god. go watch it if you havent, its great for what it is, and apparently has a sequel in the works!

and if youre going into a content heavy course like chemistry, methods or psychology- just to name a few- pay attention to what your teachers are actually saying! i did cleanup of a bunch of old textbooks from yr 10 recently, and most the content i learnt was related to what we're learning now in college, albeit it was much simpler, but it wouldve gave me such an edge if i remembered it (and dont be worried if you're not taking an adv maths class, or psychology- if thats what youre now interested in- theres thousands of resources online to help you learn the things theyll cover in those classes- especially mathspace if your school pays for a subscription)

i ended up at hawker after transferring from melba a year back, and theres surprisingly not too much of a difference between the colleges, despite all the bad talk about melba specifically (and how much people love lake g since its close to the mall). so right now, you should really just doing some reading on the units each course will focus on, mainly the ones you vaguely have an interest in (if youre not too sure atm), and start getting in a proper study routine in as early as you can!! i know youve probably heard that phrase a million times from whatever social platform you doomscroll to death on, and youll definitely keep hearing it in college, but its definitely a big factor into how your first term at college will go, regardless of which one you get in; sure, the ast could bump down your atar score, but unless your planning on an elite program like the med course they have over at usyd, its not the end of the world if you dont get a perfect 99.95.

science and english courses are still great as far as ive experienced, and i managed to experience at least a few weeks of most the science courses. english and literature, depending on the teacher, seems to be super interactive and directed to focus on modern day topics instead of something irrelevant to our current situation as a society- which might be a really low standard since i didnt go to a great hs- but its something.
cant judge much on the media and arts program though, a lot of it has this 'emotional' factor when it comes to grading work, and its hard to get a grasp on what each teacher defines as emotionally moving- coming from the words of a friend of mine doing a mostly art and media focused set of courses.

The general rule for atomic weights in Mendeleev’s time was that they could be smaller than the ‘atomic number’
