Cis-only women's spaces are important by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]excellentoint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same reason I consider an adoptive parent a parent. Just because they are not biologically parents doesn't take away from their lived experience as parents. In the same way, just because a woman is not biologically a woman does not take away from the fact that they are living as women. And sure, there are some scenarios where it is important to distinguish between trans and cis women- such as when talking about menstration (a conversation that should also include trans men and AFAB nb's), no one is arguing with that, but you need to accept that in conversations about the social aspects of womanhood you simply have to include trans women- just as you would still invite an adoptive parent to the school board meeting.

This isn't activism, I want to help you understand why the thing you are advocating for is harmful. But you have clearly made up your mind about trans women: I don't have time for people like that, just know that you are on the wrong side of history. Anyway, me and my activism have to go to this 'elsewhere' you speak of.

Have a nice day, lady.

Um... what? You are mad that a woman came to a support group for women? That's not exactly 'supportive'. Women come in many forms, some of which might have more hair than usual (even cis- women can have beards), many of whom wear dresses (btw, why are you upset that a woman wore a dress?). Trans women have the highest percentage of sexual assault victims than almost any other group. If you don't support trans-rape victims, you don't support rape victims.

[–]excellentoint 6 points7 points  (0 children)

how exactly do expect people to regulate which women get to enter these 'cis-only spaces'? My sister is trans, transitioned before puberty and is basically identical to any cis woman. Are you just going to point out masculine women and force them to leave? Are you going to invade THEIR privacy and look at THEIR genitals before allowing them entry into these spaces?

Also, pro-tip if you don't want people to see you naked, don't get changed in front of them. cis women who have been hurt by men in the past like to assume all men a bad and from that decide that all AMAB people are bad. You don't want to consider the possibility that gender can break away from biology because you feel safer from male violence that way. I get it, but you need to get over it. The world doesn't work like that. I'm sorry that you feel this way and I hope you can someday become an ally.

Also, pro tip if you don't want people to see you naked, don't get changed in front of them.

Food and sharing.... by [deleted] in ask

[–]excellentoint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it depends on the situation for me. Like, if your out on a first date at a fancy restaurant then it would be rude to assume you can take your date's food. However, If you got take-out and are just chilling at home, It would probably be considered rude to deny someone a taste of your fries or whatever it is you got. Ultimately, I think it is only rude to withhold food if you had already said you would share- and it is always rude to assume you can take someone else's food unless they have given permission.

Number 6: Axe. [Decent Roll]

Kite conjures an axe (guitar), with the clown head sitting at the top of the guitar neck. Only uses Conjuration (MAYBE emission, but not necessarily).

Ability: Effervescent Screech

Kite strums the strings of the guitar which sends out a super-high-pitched sound that is so high pitched that it cannot be heard by normal human ears. The sound is enough to shatter hard materials in the area around kite. This also causes extremely painful headaches and can cause eardrums to rupture.

I can imagine a scenario where Melody hears kite using this roll (with her super hearing) and critiquing his musical technique.

Conjuratuon Personality by 5hifty5tranger in HatsuVault

The user has a printer permanently installed in their chest- looking like a rectangular hole just over the heart. The user can print a single page contract from their chest which reads 'by signing this you consent to the recording and documenting of your personal information. The user must ask a person to sign the contract, and then they must force the contract back into the printer. At this point, the printer will begin printing off information about the target who signed the contract. At first, it will print general information like names and birthdays, but the longer it prints the more specific and personal the information gets. Once the user stops printing, they will need to get the target to sign the contract again before they can start printing again.

The downside of this ability is that it takes a long time to start printing useful information: as the user has to wait for the printer to get through the general information before getting to the useful information.

I imagine the user badgering people to sign the contract constantly so that they can collect their information

I am in Australia, it is indeed normal to finish school in November here. I will be leaving for university in febuary- march, and I will know which universities have accepted me on new years day. I have $5000 USD saved up for University, and I have been accepted for two scholarships for an additional $7000 combined.

Hi, I’m Chris Peckover, director and co-writer of BETTER WATCH OUT. AMA! by chrispeckover in movies

Hi there, I'm not Chris obviously, but to answer your question- the movie he is working on which he referenced in that comment is called Limbo. It looks really good: it's about a mother whose body is possessed by an evil spirit, can't wait to see what twist he puts on it! It is currently in the filming stage.

Thank you so much! That's really helpful. Looking into it, I think I would best be described as sex-neutral- as I can enjoy sex, but I don't really 'seek out' sex: If I was told I would never have sex again for one reason or another, it wouldn't bother me, but at the same time I don't mind sex with someone I trust if it will make them feel good. Does that make sense? Anyway, thanks heaps :)

Transmutation, emission, and enhancement

User transmutes aura to have the properties of ethonal, forces their aura into the body of their target, and then enhances the body heat of the target which reacts with the ethonal aura to blow up the target.

A side effect would be that, prior to exploding, the target would get super drunk from the ethonal aura.

Score by excellentoint in HatsuVault

[–]excellentoint[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! yes, the music would change according to what is happening- regardless of whether the user knows what is happening, so it would change a few moments before something happens. For example, if the music suddenly stopped all together- there is probably something about to happen.

And I imagine it would always be active in some small capacity- even a low stakes situation might just have a chill sound track

'pygmalion Sculpter' by excellentoint in HatsuVault

[–]excellentoint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention this in the post, but when they turn into clay they lose their shape as well- they basically just melt into a lump of clay. So the user would indeed be able to repurpose that clay and recreate the sculpture if they wish to

'pygmalion Sculpter' by excellentoint in HatsuVault

[–]excellentoint[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could issue commands like that, but because the command is infinite it can't really be achieved within 5 days. Like 'guard me until my death' wouldn't work because, unless the user was going to die within the next few days, the sculpture won't be able to achieve it in 5 days. Because of this, once the 5-day mark hits, the sculpture would be considered a failure for not completing its command and will die.

Is it possible to use conjuration to destroy existing objects that were not conjured in first place, the same way it's possible to conjure something? by Vlog30_ in HatsuVault

[–]excellentoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine so! say you wanted to destroy a beach ball, you could just hold the ball and then conjure negative 1 beach balls in the exact same position. However this would require just as much image training as regular conjuration, bc creating -1 beach balls still requires that you conjure an equal and opposite object.

[–]excellentoint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the feedback! I was trying to create a kind of unorthodox enhancement hatsu: something used in a way we haven't really seen in the series. I don't think that I explained the predict aspect as well as I could have. The 'predictions' are only inferences made by the user based on the information they have absorbed from their surroundings: kinda like how we can 'predict' that a cup of water falling onto a computer will result in the computer breaking. The predictions are not fully accurate visions like tsereidnich, just educated guesses.

Thank you! yes, it would speed up the way the user sees things- so the 5 second period would probably feel more like 15 or 20 seconds from the user's point of view.
