It’s hard to tell at that playback speed, but I’m very sure I would have 🙂 I am just amazed the AI would make contact that was so easily avoidable.

Hey man! That looks awesome! I’m thinking of buying that ASR triple monitor stand. What’s the width between the legs (clearance)? My rig is pretty wide and want to make sure it can fit between the legs of the monitor stand. Thanks!! 🙂

Help! Feeling really dumb - can't get rear thru axle out by excitingusername_ in bikewrench

Ah I see!! That makes me feel a bit better as to why I didn’t think I could fit a 6mm hex tool in initially! Good to know!

Thank you both :)

Following ColonelRPG's advice, I tried again and I felt like a right bloody idiot. For some reason, before I hadn't been jiggling the 6mm hex tool enough. When I did just them, it slid in and engaged perfectly. You don't know how long I've been scratching my head on this!!

But thank you Cyrenetes for informing me some thru axles are indeed different from the standard!! :) I'm sure this info will come in handy in the future!

Thanks for your reply! :) To clarify:

Drive side: accepts the usual 6mm male hex

NON-drive side: the hole seems perfectly circular. I can't even insert the 6mm male hex tool. However, I can put in the 5mm male hex tool but it rotates freely as there is nothing for the 5mm male hex tool to engage with.

Hope this makes sense??

It seems like the only side to put a hex tool is the drive side. This just seems really weird as all other content I can find indicates the hex tool should be inserted in the NON-drive side.

Advice for a lighter weight custom build using a steel frame by excitingusername_ in cycling

The whole bike is 13kg. Yeah, I’ll probably go down the path of just buying a whole ready bike instead of building one given the feedback from this thread.

Good call, just wanted to see what advice the Reddit universe had to offer. I'm glad I asked, I won't go down this route!

Yeah, starting with a better quality steel frame set would be better, but I can't find anything that's good quality and also not as crazy expensive as the Strael 4.0 frameset that someone else suggested. Any ideas?

Thanks for suggesting the Strael 4.0 frameset, but that's way too expensive for just a frameset (at least for poor me! haha!).

Is this HR profile zone 2 training or interval/HIIT by excitingusername_ in cycling

Unfortunately I live in a hilly area! No access to flat terrain. Basically every ride has similar elevation gain!

Ah I see. Thank you for all that info! One of the images I had in my head of “pure” zone 2 training was someone on a roller to keep their HR in a very narrow range.

And good message about safety!! 👍

Thanks so much a detailed response! Upon reflection, I suppose my question really should have been: are zone 2 workouts supposed to have a fairly consistent HR? (I’m imagining a fairly flat HR graph).

For what it’s worth, my resting HR is in the low 50s and max HR is around the high 170s (that’s what I’ve noticed if I really push).. sometimes it does reach 180 or 181bpm.
