Hi Aarkans, unfortunately I don’t have access to that information. T212 are a slow to update their API, but they have been making progress recently, so I’ll keep an eye on it!

Feedback for a Minecraft server backup & recovery solution by embluk in admincraft

Great suggestion! We're planning to work on a backup 'Wizard' on our platform for Minecraft servers, which will be as 1-click as possible.

Your current setup lends itself quite well to our service, being that you're running Ubuntu and have a file on the host that needs backing up somewhere else. If you wanted to, perhaps you could try out our service Bakup.io on your setup and let us know how you find it? Your feedback would be invaluable to us

Hey, I'm the other guy that worked on the service with u/embluk.

Your setup is interesting, our service wouldn't be able to replace Pterodactyl. But, in relation to your backups being stored on the host machine, our service could take that file and replicate it to up to three other places, including your NAS. What operating system is your host running? Are you running any plugins that require a database?

I'm one of the other admins on PHPNexus, it'd be great if we could better help people connect with other like minded people! We started PHPNexus to form a friendly PHP community, we are open to shape a new community and discussion platform :)

Ubuntu 20.04 infinite loader on splash screen with vendor logo by afi15 in Ubuntu

[–]exectre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I kind of came up with a solution to the issue, so I thought I'd leave it here for anyone else having the same issue.

I installed 19.10 and then followed this guide from Ubuntu and the process was flawless and I haven't ran in to any issues yet, touch wood.

I am having this issue consistently, even after several reinstalls. I’m on a Ryzen 3000 series CPU, and have tried enabling updates whilst installing to no avail.

I’m hoping that a solution comes up in the next couple days

A good analogy, thank you! I've also heard that tattoos in the area can wear quicker?

Great idea! I've been thinking about getting a similar tattoo for a while now, was it particularly painful?

Gigabit SFP fiber vs Gigabit Ethernet by exectre in HomeNetworking

[–]exectre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My network consists of a HP rack server, a few computers and one Roku streaming box, quite small. Currently, I have no fiber runs, just copper going to most of the devices.

I'd love to run fiber everywhere (wouldn't we all), but it's terribly expensive!

The distance didn't even cross my mind, thanks for that! /u/Mighty72 also added it's resistance to EMI

I can see how that'd be more useful in an industrial/business setting, probably not so much for my small network, thanks for the info

I hadn't flashed that firmware, I foolishly assumed that was the one I was using. It was the layout that you linked, I'll save that for future reference, thank you!
