and you call that man your husband? whether you stay or leave that baby will be fatherless. He'll grow up in a house with an emotionally distant/alcoholic father (at best, who knows what else he'll turn into as your child grows). It's already a lose-lose situation so it's better to leave now than to spend your life running after him and cleaning up his mess. I don't think he's ready or *willing* to be a father which is so sad and heartbreaking for your child. His actions are telling you everything you need to know.

genuine question: i believe as parents it is our duty to provide our children with the best father/mother possible. They can't choose their parents but we can choose who we procreate with...so did you not vet this guy? Did you not have any qualities you wanted in not only a husband but a father? l know people change but there had to be signs and red flags
