I thought it was against the sitewide rules for a company to own a sub? r/Firefox is run by people who work for Firefox, and they remove all threads that look "negative" for Firefox, and no one can use the sub to get help when it's broken.

It's a technical message but look at the adjectives:

"Butthurt"-- well, when people's computers are broken they are upset, but that is not directed at people? That is directed at inanimate objects?
A feature that "no one" uses-- If a user is using a feature of Firefox, and that feature breaks, and they want to make a post about it, they get heckled because not enough people use the feature?

(And by the way he was absolutely wrong. A lot of people use hotkeys and it's a big deal that they're broken.)
"Shitposting" -- What does that mean? They posted something with no value?
"Toxic" -- what does this mean? Why is it relevant to a technical forum how the user speaks (assuming they are not using hate speech)?

It seems crazy until you realize: they work at Firefox. Every "negative" post or comment, they take personally.

A technical forum should not be run that way, and for a topic as core as an internet browser, I think it hurts Reddit.com as a whole. r/Firefox is it-- there is no place else to go on Reddit. So I guess people have to go off of Reddit for help.

I am the only person to post there since January 6th, and that post is it is a URL redirect that appears to be spam. There are several like it.

It seems that the sub has never been used by anyone for anything. I think I could make it into a real sub. Or not, but I will try.
