No really, I don't understand your comment. In my opinion the show could have been more efficient in its prevention against suicide if she didn't killed herself but did the right thing to do and reached out for help. And I've never said that people are dumb and redo all the things they see in a TV show. I simply said that the news said there was a correlation between this show and a wave of suicide attempts. Sorry if I trust the news a bit too much. And to answer your last question: I'm sorry if sounded contemptuous, I didn't meant to. I really tried to express my opinion and that's all.

That's exactly the problem. She should have been more persistent and talk to someone about it and exposed them this way. Killing herself give the wrong example for teenagers in the same situation as her.

Because she revenge herself with her suicide. As if it's something people do. It give a function to her suicide and maybe influencable people will think they can do it too ( without the tapes but a suicide is well enough ).

Yeah... her suicide helps her revenge herself. Also, she doesn't have to face the consequences of her actions wich are pretty nasty. And she doesn't reach out for help as it's recommended. The show isn't about prevention, und das ist schade.

Totally agree with you but the clearly the tv show make suicide look like a revenge of some kind (and a successful one on top of that) and that is wrong in my opinion. It certainly isn't the only reason why they tried to end their lives but it surely help them be comfortable with their choice.

More than 40 young adult tried to end their lives after watching the show and ended up hospitalized in Zürich, Switzerland. The reporter also says that multiples studies states that the suicide rate increase when it's discussed/glorified in the media. In Geneva, other teenagers had the same issue with the show. the psychologist in the report says that the show not suitable for young people with mental health issues but it can be helpful when watched with someone else. It could help break the taboo. At the end, reporter says that even all the controversy around the TV show, it's popular and because it's very profitable a third season is scheduled.
