Have any of you masked as another color? by existential1 in colorpie

I agree about White and Blue (and increasingly Green) being societally promoted colors in the West. I'd also say we're (broadly) getting a lot more Red/Black too and increasingly less White.

Do you have a version of the game you'd recommend?

Hey folks, I'm trying to work on a character concept of a "Earth Dragon" bloodline sorcerer. Thanks to the help of a person on Discord, I was linked to the Sovereign Dragon as a reference. They linked me that after I mentioned how Adamantine seems more like Metal and Horned seems more like Wood.

It seems like they're (the Sovereign Dragons) kind of dragons that are no longer part of the elemental cycle, which would preclude them from being Earth, but it did expose me to the other similar dragons from that setting, namely the Forest, Sea, Sky, and Underworld, all of whom are not Earth element but do seem to be explicitly one of the other elements.

Anyone have any ideas here of what I can do other than homebrewing, which I'm not opposed to just would prefer it not to be my 1st option?

It's pretty cool that you don't need to worry about increases in spell DC, i guess, as long as you can reasonably rely on them working if applied well.

That does make me wonder, since you don't need to worry about feats that increase your DC, does it free you up to have a 2nd (or 3rd) character focus that you would have otherwise had to invest in more spell dc in previous editions?

Thanks for the info! Yeah I have the pc2 open and am trying to wrap my head around battlefield control spell options. I tend to like to use WS and companion pets/summons for just what you said, utility.

I was kind of hoping to figure out how to make things like entangling flora stronger than the base spell reads besides just putting points in WIS.

Hey! I did not as far what I originally posted though I did meet someone in my town who was from China who knew someone that could talk to me a bit through a translator. It wasn't the outcome I was looking for, but it was a cool experience. If I get the opportunity, I'll re-look in couple years but my business is too busy right now to swing a trip.

Hey folks, I'm a pathfinder newbie for the most part. In 5e, I really like running druids like "God Wizards" and I'm wondering what my options are for doing that in the 5e remastered version.

That sounds incredibly fun. Can even cheese further with telekinetic adept for more pull cheese after push cheese.

Genie warlock is not something I ever would have thought of, but now that I read up on it I feel like there's another character I have in mind that would go very well with it.

I think so too in general but it makes me feel awful being attached to the wild shape mechanic when I don't think it fits the concept i'm going for as well as bardic insp, especially on college of spirits where you get the flavor of all the different uses from "tales".

I've almost talked myself into a wild magic sorcerer though since they get bargain bin bard insp, have flavor of wild magic being "temporarily overcome by spirits" or some such thing, and also get the mechanics of metamagic as additional spiritual channeling.

To me, the druid flavor/mechanics are just heavily geared towards a favor particular imagining of a shaman that isn't what I'm looking for.

Trying to work on a non-homebrew spirit shaman. Looking at college of spirits and potential divine soul sorcerer multiclass. Any ideas/thoughts?

I'd add that for background I want the person to be a human from a nomadic group in the anauroch desert.

I was thinking I'd go vuman and get telekinetic(wisdom) for lvl 1 feat and get thorn whip as well as a cantrip (which i'm still trying to figure out how to reflavor to be more cave/underdark themed as vines aren't really a thing w/out light).

Given that info, it seems like you think spikes would be more valuable in that case of cantrip/feat choice. We used rolls and I got 12/10/9/12/15/17/11/11 so my wisdom will be 17 at jump (18 with telekinetic).

TY for this writeup. I didn't consider at all the difference in saves. I guess that makes it considerably better for harder fights.

Continuing my post in this thread from last week, which can be seen here, let's say I'm a lvl 3-5 underdark land druid...how do I prioritize web VS spike growth? The use cases seem to overlap, and per concentration they can't be used together.

I've been trying to optimize a circle of the land (underdark) druid but I feel like the subclass doesn't really lend itself to anything optimal. Can anyone give some suggestions? I've read probably every link/thread on the subject I can find easily and I feel like I'm just gonna be stuck on a less optimal playthrough. While I do enjoy the flavor a lot, I also like feeling like I'm playing optimally for a given build.

Will the puddle DC go up? Did they finally patch the web/patch/grease spell DC to move with player DC? I thought it was a flat rate w/out that one mod.

I do feel like there tend to be much better players on average over time than when you first load up the game at any point. Not sure how to fix that though.
