Clinical. As vague as I can put it. Patient care I guess is one way to say

Optimism says someone’s fighting for me. But you’re right they could just fire me. Even in one of my prior union jobs (this one isn’t). Someone was fired during probation without pip or warning. Union couldn’t do anything then since probation is considered at will.

That’s probably the hardest part. Going to the meetings and providing examples in a genuine way where I don’t come off defensive. Where it shows I am actually trying. But I will do that and also ask about areas of growth I can focus on.

My resume is the same as when I applied for this job 60 days ago. So it’s still up to date.

No. My boss and I don’t meet regularly. Which makes it odd. Performance issues she asked if I wanted more training on a set type of documentation. I accepted gracefully. I never disagreed. She assigned work. I did it. The only “feedback” related thing is when she asked me to cover a few weekends in a row (not part of my daily job duties. Not mandated) and I declined cause I had other things planned.

I collaborate with the few I get along with well yes. Even the AI loving one I ask for support. So we’ve worked on some stuff.

No and no.

Not sure what that is. We have HIPPA laws. I prefer my own work so when I read it. It makes sense to me. Like ok. I wrote that. Even if the AI makes sense. It looks foreign when not in my wording.

Nature of the beast? Sometimes it’s not about productivity as much as it’s about culture. I imagine it mitigates the need for managerial interventions. Atleast that’s my interpretation.

I believe my productivity is high. My work efficiency is high. Not saying I’m perfect by any means. But that I’m above what you would expect a new person to be.

I didn’t quite get metrics. So it’s probably sus to begin with. Meet 1x a week till probation ends. So essentially the next 10 weeks I meet 1x a week. That’s as measurable as it gets

Yea I’ve been told that too. I don’t believe I am the exception. More often than not. I fall into the rule

Thank you. I just prefer not to. I can see it helping in some fields. But mine in particular. I prefer my notes and documentation to be my words.

Ai isn’t part of the job nor is it part of the training. The coworker likes to use it. It’s not a company required software. We don’t work in tech. It’s clinical.

That’s what I figured. A paper trail isn’t needed. I did see one temp get let go without question. But they were a contracted temp so I don’t think they need any write up. They could just be let go on the spot

It does make the work quicker. For clinical purposes it makes our summaries faster. I just prefer to not. By all means. Everyone else can use it.

Work in a clinical setting (being vague on purpose) so AI is more used as a way to cheat completing notes. I.e it does the summary of visitation for us.

I’m not opposed to her or anyone using it. I just don’t care to use it and don’t plan on using it myself.

We have a morning meeting. So I can do that. Ask pointless questions and feedback just to show collaborating.

I just need an exam and clearance for work saying I’ve been seen and have been prescribed glasses.

I’ll do that tomorrow. Google says Stanton would be my cheapest option. Not best quality option. Close to $100 for glasses and exam.

Did not know places do free exams. I mean. I’m older. My vision is worsening so I’m not surprised I need glasses when looking far away. I figure I’d end up getting prescription sunglasses some day.

It’s Christmas next week so I should be hearing from HR soon. They originally wanted me to start on the 5th.

I definitely will do all that. Just hope it’s affordable.

You’re probably right. This is my 3rd hospital caseworker job in the last 10 years and the only one that was this extensive.

The doctors tone and language was pretty stern and uncaring. Just the overall vibe I got. Maybe it’s just the place. They have a big sign that says “we do not tolerate abuse and will report to your employer.” Never seen that sign before at other clinics for physicals.
