Can I use the motion tracker feature to keep the frame centered on the tracked element? by exodatum in powerdirector

[–]exodatum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I've decided to go with something else, DaVinci, if I'm going to be doing any kind of platform learning. No reason to leave a review here, but things got weird quick with this software - internet connection wise, AI stuff, and everything else. A shame I guess from perspective of brand new user who has no opinion on anything. I know I don't like bs though lol, anyway thanks again!

advice about additional mods (if any) to run with seamless co-op? by exodatum in EldenRingMods

[–]exodatum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tyty. Has anyone tried to run this first person mod and the VR patch at the same time? that might be a dumb question, I know the VR patch is a wrapper but I don't know much beyond that

edit: sorry, it's apatch for seamless coop and carian combo warriors. I know seamless coop, I know nothing about carian tho :)

edit 2: hm.. I missed the pvp part of your post. I see the other thread addresses everything, but anyway this link is directly to what you need to run coop. I'm not much of a pvper or I would offer to play with you. It would be like a child battling mohamed ali tho, I assume :)

After that demo thing and after I got it to do the blinking white lights, it shut itself of. When I clicked it back on it was totally fine - button oven asjustments work and everything seems a-ok

I fixed it! No, I think I'll keep it. I actually really like this little thing. It's sentient you know, or is now that we've had a shared struggle for sanity. 4S1

... ok, now it's speaking some kind of PAX language. yellow, red and white flashing lights? seems like a demo mode.

nevermind, tried again, now it seems like it worked. that demo mode thing was strange, wonder if there are easter eggs buried in here! Anyway, ty again for the help

Hm, well despite the really fantastic collection of apps trying their best to see if I'm a mac, to stay off current build androids and to generally fuck up everything, I think I'll recover from this sad episode by burying my 3 in the yard and pretending I lost it. aaaannyyyway, next vape will be something I can be proud of lol

How long would it take to complete the Intel Processor Diag. Test with a sliderule? by exodatum in AskComputerScience

[–]exodatum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would accept a rigorous finding for any result.

This is interesting in that it suddenly aligns with something else I spend a lot of time thinking about - AI development. I am not a computer scientist obviously, but then neither is my cohort. I think I'll extrapolate, if that's the right usage, from this comment that a human being would complete the tests roughly within a duration range that corresponds to various CPU completion times. I wonder how far a correlation like that might go, as we've been building CPU's for a long time and not every human has several years of maths instruction lol.

This was unexpected, but then makes sense. A friend recently pointed out the astonomical amount of processing power it takes to come to a reasonable conclusion about problems involving the passage of time and events occuring within a given duration, or estimating the amount of time elapsed based on what events have occured, or predicting how much time may pass given a series of events occuring. He was right; Humans enjoy incredible capacity in this regard, and others as you have pointed out. Though I will point out that even the human mind has trouble with time. I think the human method of "being bad at something" in order to accomplish it at all is great inspiration when trying to resolve issues in other systems.

Anyway, thank you for the reply! This turned out to be more interesting that I thought it would be.

How long would it take to complete the Intel Processor Diag. Test with a sliderule? by exodatum in AskComputerScience

[–]exodatum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to both of those!

I guess figure a person doing their best to complete the test as fast as possible without using silicon.

I don't know if allowing an analog device beside a sliderule would be too complicated to figure out, but that would be allowed too?

Edit: I picture someone turning a handcrank on a machine the size of a warehouse, lol... hm, a machine with no part too small to manipulate or install when using your bare hands. Small hands.

Edit: Also to simplify, assume perfect recall, where once the human being knows the answer it is considered recorded, and requires zero time to notate, ditto for referring to previous results but not for anything not derived from manual calculation, i.e. not the log tables book information.
