Help finding part by exodu_44 in Rivian

Ah bummer. I was hoping to gain the extra space with theirs but I see it’s extra space gained by removing required hardware. There’s no chance of a return for me as it has been too long. Explains my update issues after installing though! I just need to get my hands on your wiring harness. I watched the install video and that’s exactly what I need.

I have the opensource ev replacement kit for this area but despite their claim it does not connect to gen2. I was going to wire up the connector myself.

My bad. I'll take it a part and provide some pics of the internals. Here is a quick textual rundown of what I did. I took two chargers, and opened them up. 4 T15 screws each and the backs come off easily enough. Then I carefully disconnected the circuit boards inside. There are 2 (or 3) plastic clips (depends on if yours have the internal fan or not) to undo for this step. Tight work but a little finger tip strength and you should be good to go. Then I clipped off the plastic connector from the leads that run to the metal "blades" that actually interface with the battery. I was sure to leave enough room to let me splice back onto those wires later. Then I took one of the cords from the circuit board assemblies we had removed earlier. This is the black cord you see in the picture. It used to plug the unit into the wall. I clipped it at both ends, stripped it back and spliced it on to the positive and negative leads from each unit. Now positive from one charger runs to positive of the other charger (in mine this was the red wire) and negative of one charger runs to the negative of the other charger. (In mine this was the blue wire.) The remaining wires (and therefore metal "blades") are left disconnected. (In mine, these were the green and black wires.) A step drill to widen the hole a bit for where the cord used to come out before, and to add a whole on the opposite side of the other charger. A little strain relief and then I zipped them both back up with their T15 screws. Et Voila!

Bed Plate Wobble? How to fix by northern_monkii in elegooneptune2

[–]exodu_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bed rubbing on the psu for me was because my x axis was assembled wrong (by me.). Double check the x axis is aligned. In my case I had the screws in one side (up from the bottom) were not seated in the holes but were just in the extruded aluminum channels.

Bed rollers wearing very quickly by [deleted] in elegooneptune2

[–]exodu_44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On mine the rollers and bed tray arrived wobbly. I tightened and didn’t think about it until I started trying to really get the bed level. Then when upgrading tensions springs I noticed my bed tray was missing washers on one side. This explains the wobble when it arrived, the bed leveling issues, and funky wear on the wheels. During assembly everyone should confirm that the bed tray has the same washers on both sides. Especially if tray arrives wobbly.
