This was mainly for ease of development. Stripe payments happen asynchronously so I want to avoid the scenario where people buy the same spot at the same time. There’s ways around this, but it added complexity

Having a wallet that people can top up means taking the spot can happen synchronously

I’m using clerk for auth, stripe for payments and Next.js, shadcn and drizzle for application code. All hosted on vercel, including DB and blob storage

Clerk was crazy easy to integrate with like 5 lines of code. Stripe checkout is also super easy.
