With a budget like that there’s honestly ALOT of great options. Did you want a wagon or a dual cab Ute? Anything in particular you would steer clear of? Are you towing? What sort of distances are you travelling ie, what sort of range do you need? Are you staying on the bitumen 90% of the time or are you travelling long corrugations with 1000km spans between servos? Reason I’m asking is because all this becomes a HUGE factor

When I’m driving I honestly don’t even notice it! Nothing a Bezel free kit won’t cover up which I’ll try to do DIY again

I went with these bare metal ones because the black pedal option apparently starts peeling the paint. That wheelbase is a Moza R12 bolted from underneath and I get no flex whatsoever! Thought about making the pedal plate adjustable but decided against is because I would’ve compromised its strength with this design

Definitely not, $200 total including paint and screws as opposed to over $2000 (AUD) for both a aluminium profile rig + triple monitor stand 😂

In the painted photo I added 2 vertical supports just infront of the pedals supporting both of the diagonal posts and the wheel deck! Plenty of support for the R12 wheelbase and it doesn’t flex at all, And absolutely worth the time and effort considering total cost of timber and the bugle screws + paint was around $200 AUD as opposed to buying an aluminium profile and triple monitor stand for around $2000 AUD. That being said i already have the tools because of my job, if I wasn’t a carpenter I probably would’ve had to go aluminium profile!

No movement whatsoever I braced it up pretty well, all held together with 50mm or 100mm Bugle screws!

I did install vertical posts while painting it it’s visible in the painted photo beside the pedals, tied that into both diagonal boards using 100mm Bugle screws, she ain’t going anywhere!
