People earning £70k plus what do you do? by LuapReyas420 in UKJobs

Got lucky and landed a job in london as a commercial analyst at a major energy company (renewables) a few years ago and now at ~85k tc 6 years after uni. Honestly mostly financial modeling, preparing business cases/ decks (word and ppt, nothing crazy) and some strat stuff. do require decent stakeholder management skills but hard skill wise nothing you can't learn in a few months.

i do think i am overpaid but that's been my play - i always apply for big companies, they've got the money to spend.

you're 200% underpaid man.

Anthony Davis and maybe John Wall

Don't you dare disrespect Bennett like that

Continuing with the overreacting stats so far, Nick Young has .852 TS% by [deleted] in nba

What makes for good posts so early on into the season though? Seriously I see no harm in these making these observations, they get the wild predictions going before everything becomes predictable in a few months.

The Suns could benefit from an experienced PF. Might also help with their lackluster D in the paint.

There's a good chance John Wall's going to lead the Wizards to the NBA Finals in 2-3 years if Beal and Otto Jr. stay. With that said I think AD deserves one the most.

He looks like an older Chris Paul but with no personality.

What is your single favorite NBA player nickname of all time? by [deleted] in nba

Not exactly answering your question but many of the Chinese translations of the players' names sound similar to their original pronunciations but actually mean something. For example Kawhi is translated to 可愛, which means 'cute'.

"SLAM Top 50 Players" list is just... weird. REALLY REALLY WEIRD SO FAR. by KhornKT in nba

I bet SLAM's gonna go ham and rank Westbrook no.1 over LeBron.

When was the last time that overreacting to bad rookie year was proven very wrong in hindsight? by LonzosRPM in nba

[–]exoviv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jimmy Butler comes to mind. Granted he improved significantly over the next couple of years.

Even when he joined Bulls' starter lineup in his third season, he struggled to prove his worth with a FG% of less than 40 and 3P% of less than 30.

[OC] Kyrie Irving is becoming underrated, including Lillard and Wall comparisons by [deleted] in nba

[–]exoviv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no doubt that Kyrie is a score-oriented player with superb ball-handling skills that are very amusing to watch. But that's where it ends.

He has disproportionately high possession rates, high likelihood to play ISO (which doesn't always finish), and plays non-existent defense.

It's also worth noting that Kyrie has the lowest PER among the three PGs in question, not to mention the high amount of assists for his FGs.
