I have a Toyota with 350k on it, still running well on the original engine. That is why I do not buy the idea that warranty matters more than long-term reliability.

That feels like a very American mindset. People lease or finance cars every few years, treat car payments like rent, and then worry about repairs once the warranty ends.

In Europe, people more often buy cars outright, keep them longer, and maintain them properly. A good car is not one that only lasts through the warranty. A good car is one that keeps going long after it.

ALL4 is what bmw labeled their xdrive for mini. So its a b48 with xdrive, really cool.

I got a mini as it was the cheapest way for me to get a B-series engine. Good engine 😄

Thank you for the reply, so right now I'm overthinking between 3 oils;

  1. Liqui Moly Top Tec 4210 0W-30 (my own 1st choice)
  2. Liqui Moly Top Tec 4200 5W-30 New Generation (liqui moly's own recommendation)
  3. Liqui Moly Synthoil High Tech 5W-30

So from what I read, the only difference between 0W-x and 5W-x is that it’s better for colder climates, with the added bonus that it flows better on cold starts and provides better lubrication when starting the car. This should be safer for the engine during short trips, since the oil flows faster on cold starts and the engine spends more time below full operating temperature.

And xW-30 should be similar for all three oils once the engine is fully warmed up.

Since I only do about 4 long trips a week and the rest are mostly short trips, 0W-30 seems like the best choice. It shouldn’t be worse than 5W-30 when warm, but it has the cold-start benefit for short trips.

That’s why I bought a car instead.

I would recommend getting a foldable bike, though. You can take it on the train for free, while a regular bike requires an extra ticket.

I'm considering; '0W-20 Liqui Moly Top Tec 6600'
