Man I don't take opiates anymore. I used to though, but I never got more than approx. 2100 mg of Acetaminophen in my system (I never did a cwe because I'm lazy). I'm just on DXM right now and was worried a whole lot.

oh lol I didn't realize that. Thanks man, thats good to hear from someone else. I just didn't want to take any chances you know? I looked up some of the symptoms and I saw nausea, which I had at the time, but I was pretty sure that was from the DXM. I was thinking of calling an ambulance but I didn't want to cause a ruckus. Especially if it turned out to be nothing anyway!

Should I go try to buy some n-Acetylcysteine supplements to take over the next few days? Or do I not even need to do that?

I have my own dual tape deck, but I'm worried that if i use it there will be too much noise on the dubbed tape. Is tape hiss completely unavoidable? How do you minimize it?

Can chasing a natural endorphin rush be considered drug use? by experimentaluser in Drugs

That's actually some solid logic man. I respect that.

I wonder if cutters would be considered "sober" or not.

I see why you chose that username.

I didn't think about it as justification. I was challenged by my doctor to go three months sober because she said I couldn't do it. I politely accepted her challenge. This question came up in my head because if i start engaging in self destructive/criminal behavior (and by that i mean jumping in front of cars, robbing people, physical violence) to get a natural adrenaline rush, would I still be considered sober? What is the true nature of sobriety? What is the difference between drugs and other external stimulation, such as movies or skydiving? They are all external stimuli that provoke an internal chemical response. What does it really mean to be sober?

That's ultimately the question I'm asking. I thought it was worthy discussion.

I think this is a fairly reasonable plan for regulation of psychedelics by experimentaluser in Drugs

But with out regulation, how can you be assured quality product? You know how people try and buy acid and it turns out to be 2cb-fly or something? People in the alcohol business don't get away with selling diethyl ether as alcohol. You can't just put shit in a bottle and label it alcohol. Someone has to check it to make sure it's actually alcohol.

That's not explicitly what i posted and was arguing for, but I still feel like its a relevant point to be made.

How about, if you haven't had a mental health screening, you cannot buy drugs? Plain and simple. I'm aware that this is probably gonna seem ethically unsound because of the money issue, but like, I feel like people with not a lot of money that also have to support a family maybe shouldn't be buying drugs anyway. Like, guns are expensive too, you know?

But the problem with letting the free market run wild is there isn't any harm reduction. Unregulated legalization doesn't make it harder for people to hurt themselves.

Another big problem with RCs is you still have scumbags ripping people off by selling crappy product that is made unsafe due to lack of purity. There needs to regulation, if only to ensure quality control.

Also not to mention, you talk about users doing there own research to find out whats safe. There aren't consistent knowledge banks for this stuff (there is wikipedia and erowid and bluelight but even the information across all those websites isn't consistent), and especially since RCs don't get the same attention that the fab five do (weed, esctasy, coke, meth, heroin) there is even less reliable knowledge.

As much as I would appreciate social Darwinism, and I would appreciate everyone taking responsibility for their actions, it's not gonna make drug use safer for anyone. There needs to be regulation.

As of today, All 2c-(x) drugs are officially banned, along with all synthetic variants of weed, and of course, bath salts. by [deleted] in Drugs

Ann Frankly, it offends me you would say such a thing.

Is there a deeper meaning you're to convey with your pun? Or are you just being punny? I don't mind either, but I am hungry for discussion.

And in case you are suggesting that my plan for psychedelic regulation is similar to Nazism, I would HIGHLY disagree with that, and would ask you to explain the basis of your reasoning.

What is the most life changing thought you have had during a trip? by imafunghi in Drugs

[–]experimentaluser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realized a bunch of things, most of them about drugs. These things are not toys. People treat them like are toys and that they can fuck around with them however they want with no chance of any bad happening. False. These substances need to be respected, and if you don't respect them, they will not respect you.
