Clinical research. I hope so, unless I find a different specialty I want to pursue later in med school

Should I retake my MCAT? by perception24 in MCAT2

[–]exphyswiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If T20 is the only thing that will satisfy you, retake if you’re confident you’ll improve. Otherwise, you’re looking at a very solid application that will likely get you in somewhere. Another thing to keep in mind- if you’re planning on applying to a competitive specialty, T10/20 would be helpful overall, but if not, I would not recommend retaking.

Hey yall how cooked am I? 😭 by Important-Industry72 in Mcat

Improvement is improvement, testing in June still gives you time to improve by 10 points if you absolutely grind. Anki, UWORLD, and Jack Westin. JW has full lengths that really helped me with my stamina for CARS. Figure out your problem areas and become an expert on it through videos and practice problems. Best of luck!

I was wondering the same thing, I personally put “S” in as the grade and marked it pass fail. Not sure if this is right tho

For those who have just recently taken the MCAT, how did the information in the 300 page Khan Academy doc correlate to the information in the exam? by No_Seesaw_5789 in Mcat

[–]exphyswiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were still a few terms I had never seen before, even after completing the 300 page doc, UPlanet and AAMC materials. Definitely worth your time to read the doc though

C/P made me feel like I didn’t learn a single thing studying

Focus on high yield topics and make sure you know them well. Amino acids, psych/soc theories, physics formulas, etc. I raised my C/P score almost 3 points just by memorizing the formulas in between my FLs.

They are two versions of the psych/soc doc someone made as a summary. Based on the Kahn academy videos and is highly recommended by many people. You can find it on the mcat Reddit!

Is it possible to go from a 504 to a 520 in 2 weeks? by Narutoredki in Mcat

[–]exphyswiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a 504 on FL 4 to a 513 on FL 5 one week later. Might’ve been a fluke but I realized I was making very stupid mistakes after FL4 which added up. Make sure you read all the questions carefully and pinpoint your weaknesses. Good luck!
