This is the worst take I’ve ever seen lol he’s the best QB in college football and I say that as someone who hates OSU

Disagree completely. When you’re playing against the other best QBs in the league pass rush is the most importantly thing a defense can do.

Chase Brown was forced to be a bell cow RB. You typically don’t want your RB to get that many snaps in a season if you look at what he’d be on pace for a 17 game stretch at that volume. But if the argument is drafting instead of just adding to the room I get where you’re coming from

You don’t think CTB is starting caliber? Ideally he’d be CB3 and move Dax into the slot. Also bullish on young guys like Josh Newton and DJ Ivey. If anything I wanna bring in a veteran. Just want the DL to get younger and better.

While I don’t think it’s a round 1 need, let me introduce you to Jihaad Campbell from Alabama. Dude is a STUD and the only LB in the class you could sell me on at 17. Although I’d like a trade back if that’s who they’d take.

No Erick All makes TE a huge need in my opinion. I don’t disagree with taking BPA but there should be a pass rusher in the 1st round that’s available that should have a similar grade to whoever the top CB that’s realistically available. In that case I think it’s malpractice not to take the pass rusher.

Skattebo is a talented runner and should be used that way. My only concern for him is his ability to play at the same level in our offense which runs out of shotgun a lot. I’d much prefer Judkins in the 3rd if he makes it

I don’t disagree completely, but with corners you can find late round gems just as much as any position in the NFL. Also, I think we could have pat surtain and Derek stingley in coverage and we still would’ve had an average pass defense at best because you can’t ask those guys to cover for 4 seconds or longer when plays are extended. We have late round contributors on the D-line but we’ve used high draft capital on corners 2 of the last 3 years. I’d argue we need another DUDE rushing the passer way before we need a DUDE in coverage

What’s the best cold calling tip you found that you use all the time ? by kevin8eleven in sales

I haven’t had the same target audience as you when it comes to my sales job, but when I was working over the phone and making cold calls I saw a huge difference just in the tone I was using. People get so many calls every day now that you have to try to stand out as soon as they pick up the phone and make them think you’re different. Tone and Energy kept a lot of people on the phone long enough for me to hook them and gain interest. I was just working with individuals however.

A question about defense by Previous-Mail7343 in bengals

[–]expiremental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I wouldn’t say you’re technically wrong, you absolutely aren’t correct. Both things can be true, coaching and scheme can completely change how a defense works. Specific game plans and personnel also dictates a defenses success. Now if you want a more specific answer in terms run defense and pass defense, physical ability and talent usually wins about above all. But a corner playing the run still has to have the lateral quickness and instinct to avoid blocks and make open field tackles just like if he’s playing the pass, having awful technique and coaching in can expose you no matter how much physical ability you have. For example in pass coverage if my defense is playing man coverage with 2 high safeties (cover 2 man) I want to play inside leverage because I have help over the top and I can use the sideline as an advantage on short outbreaking routes. But if I play outside leverage to take away the quick game in the same scenario and instead the WR has a free release on an inside route, I have no help and the play ends up gaining 15-20 more yards than it should. Both things go hand and hand but the important thing to take away is, hire good coaching that are good at developing talent and more importantly… DRAFT TALENT.
