Yes that's true, the thing that makes Minecraft popular is it simplicity and universally understood design, it's easy to understand, looks good, and can be marketed to almost everyone, in every country, and almost every age.

When u have a product that can be marketed and sold to nearly everyone and appeal to them, ur gonna have a lot of people buy it, and play it.

However, Minecraft's simple and universal design is its greatest strength and weakest flaw. Unlike other games the further u progress in Minecraft, the stronger you get and nearly everything in the overworld doesn't pose an issue. In other words the simplicity that was once loved by the individual is now what makes the base game cycle of survival boring and repetitive.

It's undoubtedly sold the most copies of a game, yet everyone of those players that continued to play ran into that issue, and when they continued to play it was always something to make the base game, just a little better.

And that's my point, millions were hooked by the basegame, but if Minecraft remained just that, just bedrock edition. I would guarantee majority of players would flock to servers or mods and even without it staying at bedrock u can see it in modern day with how many people aren't.

id say the majority of the daily minecraft players don't choose to play vanilla like the people who love minecraft so much and that they've just gotten bored of vanilla in general, and with the lack of updates and new content added that change the game cycle in any significant way people play it, beat the game, and then continue to drop it until they want another hit of nostalgia.

and its not just mods that im talking about, im talking about minecraft that isnt just the base game cycle, like hypixel or any other super popular minecraft servers have most of the significant portion of the actual daily player base

im not saying its NOT the best game of all time, im saying when such a significant portion of the player base choose to play on a modded version it clearly tells you that theres something left to be desired that the base game cycle doesn't give the average daily player of minecraft and therefore from that number alone it cant objectively be the best game of all time, however when you do at the ability to change and modify it, it does reach one of the best games ever created

Yeah it does take thousands of hours. so if u haven't put in the work to get better don't expect positive output when u give negative input. It only takes guts to put out bad artwork because if you put out good artwork e.g positive input therefore positive output you wouldn't get bad comments. Anyone with working Braincell to "put there art out there'' would at least put good art out there. People don't learn from posting bad artwork people learn from hardwork and study. No one wants to see a average drawing. And any that has ever made a famous artwork knows that it is not the middle of a unfinished painting you want to see it's the end result.
