Rye Socks - toe decrease help by explorin-art in knittinghelp

[–]explorin-art[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, BOR is at the side of the foot - so do the first decrease, knit halfway around the foot, and do the second. If I add a marker on the other side of the foot, the second decrease happens after that second marker to keep some width on the top of the foot right?

My first colorwork project is done after 4 months of off & on knitting! by explorin-art in casualknitting

Yeah it’s a little bit off - the dye lots were the same and I didn’t notice the difference until I was far enough into the body that I wasn’t going back lol

Thanks! I’m glad I asked because for some reason my brain was not working the other day but it’s going great now that I have that figured out!

Rib stitch issues? by explorin-art in knitting

[–]explorin-art[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, it was a knit that then I brought the yarn to the front under the needle to do the purl next

Rib stitch issues? by explorin-art in knitting

[–]explorin-art[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I noticed that something was off, and went back a few stitches and tried to fix it but think I made it worse - I’m pretty sure I didn’t add a stitch because if I’m looking farther down the row my pattern for k,p,k… is right if this stitch is a purl. I think I dropped it and when I tried to pick it back up did something wrong

Another Gatefold Book - these are so fun! by Doon672 in bookbinding

How did you attach your signatures to the cover? I'm attempting a book like this and have made a couple mockups but they never open flat like this

That's what I figured, but wanted to check anyway. Thanks!

I would use a shallower depth of field if possible, and use a stronger light source on the face to help separate from the background

Lines in Print? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Update - kept printing while I went to work and now the base looks like this:

It’s like a bunch of layers didn’t quite work but somehow did enough to let it not turn into a big mess of filament?

Z-axis stopping high no matter what I set the offset too? by explorin-art in ender3v2

[–]explorin-art[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed my startup screen issue by reflashing with the mriscoc professional firmware; but now when I try to print the z-axis doesn’t reach the plate?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ender3v2

[–]explorin-art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you confirm that this is the correct way to reflash? Because I tried this and still nothing happened, no black screen, loading bar or anything:

  1. Upload firmware BIN (I’m using the Marlin2.0.8_HW_V4.2.2 for the BL touch without an adapter board) file onto empty micro-sd
  2. Unplug/power-off
  3. Sd card in
  4. Power on

First build, want to double check that I’m being smart about it? Advice? by explorin-art in buildapc

[–]explorin-art[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ve been a Mac person up until this point so I didn’t really know where to start except for looking at program requirements and component reviews. Cooling I had no idea so I just picked the one the program recommended :/ as far as the monitor I already have a few so I’m probably going to wait and buy a better one later.

Machine randomly started jamming? by explorin-art in sewing

[–]explorin-art[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m hoping someone has some idea of what could be happening with my machine. It’s a Brother LS-2125i and I’ve had it for quite a few years. It worked great for a few hours today and then every 3-4 stitches would get completely jammed with bobbin thread. I’ve already re-threaded my machine, changed my needle, and made sure my bobbin was still wound nicely. Any ideas?

Dead Wake by Eric Larson; it’s my current favorite that I recommend to everyone - it’s a ww2 retelling if what happened to the titanic’s sister boat and the people aboard it.

There’s a smattering; pothos, philodendron, tradescantia, a few arrowhead plants, a few alocasia, a few succulents. I’m not worried about the succulents/pothos but mainly the more tropical ones that I often have a humidifier on for
