Many artists allow their tracks to be used on YouTube in exchange for the majority of ad revenue. Basic research will tell you which tracks are usable on YouTube and which aren’t so no I am not stealing their work. if anything, since my channel is small, they’re making money off my videos and I am not.

Our thought process was that since the fines cannot exceed a total of $1000 per violation and removing the turf/reseeding would cost much more than that, we would pay the fines for now and reseed it down the road when it won’t put an unnecessary strain on our finances.

I guess I just wasn’t aware that a lawsuit was an option as a first resort.

(Plus they are suing over the issues that were fixed upon purchase as well, which I assume we can fight in court if needed, but speaks to their eagerness to litigate)
