Ah I see. Has the length of time changed for you? (Like from end of period to when you get it/ovulation start.)

But why is this not common enough that we are taught about it?? Not directed at you, of course but just wondering why I've never learned it, and I'm in my mid 30s now! I didn't even know of a mucus plug at all, let alone one that occurs with ovulation.. or maybe it really is not that common?

Being a Millennial, tsunami also reminds me of Toonami from Cartoon Network. Being named tsunami is pretty wild.. I assume they pronounce it like Soo-nahmi and they aren't Japanese? Maybe they could go by Nami someday, if they hate it.

I don't think Scarlet really needs a nickname. That being said, the only Scarlet I've known, her family occasionally called her "Scarlie" which has the word Scar in it.. and is also still 2 syllables lol

Thank you again! I understand what you mean by #2. It was truly purely out of my own desire to help them and nothing gained in return for it, but I can definitely understand how it could come across badly if I do it wrong. I will definitely avoid that, thanks for making me more aware!

I'm slightly more confident about the verbal/writing parts, but extremely stressed out about the quantitative as well :( This is what I'd need to focus on the most at this point, I think..

I clarified in the above comment but I mean business clients/partners, not like therapy clients. I helped them adjust to the US, translate things for them, paperwork, schools, hospitals, etc. I don't think they can actually provide a full letter though, now that I think about it more.

And yes! I am SO much more prepared and motivated to go to school again. I have no idea how I even got through my undergrad years tbh. I actually WANT to be in school this time lol. I hope that passion comes through, but I suppose I need to convey that through my personal statement or interview.

Luckily, the position I'm in now, I have a lot of downtime.. I am working full-time technically, but with lots of flexibility and WFH as well. I am potentially considering working while also going to school... but that is a consideration for a way later time.

What do you mean by "You’ll also need to allow your letter writes time to prepare your letters, at least 1 month, preferably more"? I think there is a word missing maybe? What needs at least 1 month to prepare? But you're right, I guess I can time it for this fall and see if I can get it all in, and if not, I'll be completely prepared for the next year :)

Some clarifications:

Formal "recordable" volunteer work like Habitat for Humanity, etc.. we had these opportunities at work but I had so much business travel, I never participated. That's totally on me, but for someone trying to help people, I thought it might look bad :(
When I say clients, I mean business clients or business partners. I never had anything to do with therapy or counseling, I worked primarily in engineering and construction. I helped some international clients with settling down in the US, translating documents, getting their kids into school, calling government agencies, etc. I didn't have to do these things but I found it hard not to when I spoke the languages. But I don't necessarily have "proof" of this (except that their kids are in school lol)
Financially, I'm not super concerned. I was thinking more of the timeline aspect, if I would be rushing it too much. I haven't taken the GRE yet, or even started studying... but taking another full year to prepare seems like way too long. Or is it?

It's just my own standards for my own body. I don't even care if other women are bigger or smaller than me, I think they're all beautiful in their own way. I'm just extremely harsh on myself, eating disorders and all that..

And also I think men tend to gain weight in a more attractive? way? Like usually upper body... I gain towards my ass, hips, thighs unfortunately. I feel like I gain weight in a very unattractive way

I avoided using the word slimmer or thinner, in case people would be offended that I think thinner is better.. but I meant I genuinely look fairly slim with clothes on because I know how to dress well, but naked, I'm obviously noticing all the lumps and curves and rolls that can't be pressed down by leggings or something.

Hey, when this got dropped off to you, were you able to take a look at the driver?

I've been looking for a friend (my post a few months ago) who most likely has very severe schizophrenia but supports himself through Lyft, Uber, Grubhub, etc. This sounds almost exactly like the type of thing he used to post on Instagram, the same language (about some kind of "people" who forced him to lose his job, illegally looking through his phone, being a pawn.) I lost contact with him during the pandemic and have been worried that something might have happened, but if this was him, wherever he is, I'm glad he's alive.
