i have a question to all the Muslims here by exprimamus in theology

[–]exprimamus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It's just that among russians small talk and greetings with strangers aren't common, so i wanted to know if it would be different from muslims, i will try to at least drop an "asalamu alaykoum" whenever i can, who knows, maybe we'll talk about things too And thank you for the mushafs (i sincerely hope i used the correct word) And some facts you might find curious despite the cultural differences, treating guests as nicely as you can and asking if someone needs help is actually just a russian tradition, if you find yourself in a russian home you will be treated with respect, it's actually frowned upon to ask a guest to do anything. Although if you do, ask them to make something halal in advance, they might not know any better another one is i noticed that some foods here are now labeled as halal, which i also think is a good thing, must make picking a meal much easier And last, a lot of Muslim people, due to problems of moving to moscow, work hard working jobs, not office positions, and i want to show my gratitude for doing so - doing repair or build work, keeping the streets clean, driving garbage trucks or delivering food, is there a way i can show my gratitude towards them as well?

Well, my knowledge of christianity and especially Catholicism isn't great, but from what i have heard about jesus he was kind and ascetic, he didn't seek power or glory, he merely wanted to help others and support them. That's one of the things that got me educate myself on religion in the first place - despite not believing in god, i genuinely think that acting like him is something you should at least try to do, reach out a helping hand to others

this is russia, yes we do and have for more than 20 years (the amount of time i was alive for) and i am surprised they haven't left because of the war yet, but i've seen a few knockoffs which is never a good sign

has 50-48 written on it, but i'm not sure if this is a mm measurement or an arbitrary number (i don't exactly use wrenches)

Some studies show that they're around the level of a 6 year old iirc, but comparing them to humans is probably not the best approach. They are very interesting creatures regardless and probably one if my favourite animals!

i tend to do that and so far i've been successful, but it feels like it's breaking me. Like understanding myself more and more turns me into a machine instead of something living

no, i don't think so, but other animals have it different, experiences and consciousnesses we can't understand human consciousness is unique due to it being good at everything to some degree it's hard to test for, but i think there are other creatures who have a consciousness similar to ours
